We picked Merzouga Camp according to very good reviews on the internet and we were not dissapointed. The owner, Mohammed was very welcoming. We were able to leave our car in his garage in the village, he organized additional quad when we needed it, breakfast at his place was just excellent and you can check your e-mails at his place. The only problem was that guides didn't empty the chemical toillet in the camp at all. But this can not be classified as organizer's fault, everything else was just excellent. And not at least, you can speak english with him if you have any additional needs or desires and he is very eager to oblige. All in all, excellent and even better than we expected.

It was fantastic stay with wonderful people. The sunset and sunrise was amazing. The meal was delicious. We played at drums and drink berber whisky. I hope I will see this place again :)

It was a great stay.
Look at the sunset aboard a camel, look at the starry sky lies in the desert, it was a great experience.
Delicious meal, Berber whiskey, great music, friendly people.
I will return again!

Our stay was fantastic. The hotel and the staff were amazing, the camel ride to the tends and the night in the desert were even better. The tends are really nice and the dinner was delicious! The evening ended around a fire under the stars listening to some drum playing. Next morning we watched the sunrise and then the camels took us back to the hotel.
The place is amazing! It gives you a feeling of peace. And the people are so friendly and welcoming. It makes you want to stay there forever.

When I saw the dunes I remained speechless. Literarly. Fantastic people make you feel like at home, a must-do trip to the gold dunes for over night in a real nomadic tent with a real berber delicious supper and at last for the most stunning, a breath taking sunrise seen from the Biggest of all dunes. Go some 5 km further from Hassilabied to see Gnawa people who perform some traditional dance. Try to destinguish which one is the best among all the berber whiskey (green tea with mint and a looooot of sugar) you are offered anyway you go. Reliable, gentle people;clean cozy rooms and the most superb cuisine (oh how I miss their tajine!!!). I'll be back there for sure!!!
