Stayed here as part of our tour across Sahara and Atlas in Sept 13. The place is rustic, clean and charming, reflecting the life in the desert. Great service - very attentive, pleasant, friendly and kind. Great terrace with amazing views of the dessert - we ended up sleeping in the terrace instead!!

I was the only guest during my stay here so had the run of the place - the owner, Mobarek, showed me round personally and made me feel very at home. A lovely hotel with views that have to be seen to be believed - I could have sat on the terrace and stared out at the dunes all day! But then I would have missed out on quad biking in the dunes at sunset, a superb 4x4 trip around the 'black desert' (so many fossils!) and the classic dromedary ride into the dunes overnight - the stars, wow... The food was great and everybody from the owner down to the 'chamaulier' and the waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming - in summary, a superb experience in an unforgettable location!

Our group of five women was warmly welcomed to this very comfortable, fun and relaxing desert paradise. After the hustle and bustle of Morocco's famed Medinas, we were more than ready for the peaceful beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes and the comfort and personal service afforded by Tegojt and its people.
And we got even more than that:
Camel rides into the sunset, a night under the stars in a desert tent, the best food anywhere, and evenings filled with music and laughter. If you are going to Morocco, include a stay at Tegojt; you will only want to go back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Auberge Takojt for a two night desert excursion. The first night we spent in the hotel and the second out in the desert in a Berber tent. The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. When we arrived, our bus had broken down along the way from Marrakech so we were five hours late. Mobarek was there to pick us up even though it was nearly 2am! He was very friendly and so accommodating the whole time as were the rest of the staff. Ibrahim who took us into the desert on camels was awesome. He and his friends at the camp provided some after-dinner entertainment in the way of various percussion instruments- so great! I can't say enough here about how helpful and friendly everyone was. The location was brilliant and the facilities were clean and all in perfect working order. The food was excellent as well. I recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for some adventure and the chance to meet some amazing individuals. Loved it!!!

We booked a tour into the desert for a couple of days and were pleasantly surprised when our guides brought us to Hotel Takojte. Mobarek, the hotel owner/manager made us feel very welcome from the start. Mobarek and his staff will cater to all your needs and treat you like family.

On our first night we had a delicious authentic Berber meal which was followed by live entertainment around a cozy campfire where we received music lessons while Mobarek, his brother and the other hotel staff played Berber music for our enjoyment. We had a great conversation, good music, and a fantastic view for star glazing. The scenery surrounding the hotel is breath taking, especially at night. The following day we had a camel ride into the dunes to experience the sunrise and sunset in the desert while we slept in a Berber tent at night.

The service was excellent and the room was spacious and comfortable. The experience was fantastic and was definitely a highlight of our Moroccan Trip.

The hotel is run by a Berber family who care about their guests. Mobarak, the owner/manager made us feel at home right from the start. We stayed 3 nights. Dinner was included in the price and was a pleasant surprise every evening. Breakfast plentyfull and tasty. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. Good size bathroom . Members of the family are musiciens and showed their skills every night around a cosy campfire. We got djembe lessons ! We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area and the friendliness of the staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace, you can view the dunes.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends who had used their camping facilities earlier in the year. The hotel is run by a proud Berber family who will gladly help you to understand their culture and a little of their language. Mobarek made us very welcome from the start. He helped us to plan our stay including an overnight camel trip into the Sahara, the hotel rooms were delightful and the food excellent.
Our evenings were spent in the company of the hotel staff and other guests - entertainment, in the form of traditional Berber music, was provided by Ahmed (one of Mobareks brother's) and other members of staff.
We very much enjoyed all the time we spent in Morocco but our stay at Auberge Takojt was definately a high point.
