“good and low priced restaurant inside the Medina”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2013

Cheap restaurant in the Medina. Great couscous with chicken and kefta (spiced meatballs) tagine with the egg. Generous portions. Local clean enough. You can eat on the street or on a balcony. Good also the rotisserie chicken. The staff is quite friendly, fast and attentive.

“Count your change!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

Food is ok (I hate it when the chicken is more bones than meat), but at a very good price.

If you need to use the loo be aware it is Moroccan style, i.e. footsteps and a hole in the ground. But nevertheless clean. Bring your own toilet paper (there is none).

Make sure you count your change after you've paid: we got back from a hundred although we'd given the waiter a MAD 200 note. When we turned around the waiter was still there and we didn't even have to say anything as he smiled and said "o, you gave me 200"... very shrude!

“3 course meal - 40dr”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

The food is pretty basic Moroccan like a lot of the touristic places but if you can get a seat outside on the street on a hot night and looking for a cheap meal it's pretty good. Salad/soup with tajine and fruit all for 40dr I thought was very cheap for prices in Chaouen these days.

“Good food, better price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

We get to this restaurant by recommendation of a local shop keeper who said that it is clean, cheap and good. We found it all to be correct. The chicken couscous was delicious. Service was great, mint tea was delightful. Highly recommended.

“Pretty Good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

This place is tiny. The food is pretty good and cheap. I had the deep fried sardines and chips which was pretty good.
