This ryad was booked for us by the travel company that we engaged for a 15 day tour. Being aware that 5 star hotels by American standards seem rare in Morocco, this was described as one of the best Chefchaouen had to offer. Maybe it is, but it was certainly not our finest stay in Morocco, well below other hotels that could be considered even a 3 star and not what you would expect when the word "spa" is used in conjunction with a hotel. The room was not very clean and one might consider wearing protective sandals in the shower. This property reminded me of a hostel. The location is great. That's about it.

My family and I absolutely loved Lina Ryad! We stayed in three cities (Marrakech, Fes, and Chefchaouen) and this was our favorite riad.

The service was just excellent: the two young ladies at the front desk were constantly working to make their customers' stays more comfortable, providing refreshments and booking services and answering questions. My mother has limited mobility, and they were so accommodating in finding a place for her to charge her scooter on the lobby level. (Please note, there are steps leading up to the lobby level, however, and someone with mobility challenges may not find any riad to be the most accessible.) One night, we were too tired to go out to eat, so they assisted us in ordering in from one of the restaurants nearby, even delivering the meal and our change back to our rooms. Top-notch service!

While we did not take advantage of the hammam, we will likely do so the next time we stay here! We will definitely be back, as we fell in love with the Blue Pearl and this wonderful riad.

The breakfast was freshly made and very tasty, with eggs prepared as requested. We really appreciated the fresh-squeezed juices, the fresh fruit, the toasty bread, the earthy coffee, and excellent pastries. It was a perfect way to start the day. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to try the in-house dinner which you have to order in advance, but that's on our list next time.

Most importantly, though, the rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable---from the snowy white sheets to the spotless bathroom. After a day of hiking and exploring, it was so nice to sink into the immaculate bed and drift off. The water pressure was excellent in the shower, and the water got has hot as I wanted. The wifi was also very convenient. Now, as with many riads, you can sometimes hear other residents blow-drying their hair or talking loudly in the stairwell, but it did not cause any real disturbance to us. If you open the windows, you can sometimes also hear people calling out in the street, but again this did not bother us once we closed the windows. There was fully functioning AC for hot days.

Overall, we loved this place. We definitely want to come back!

We spent our first night in Morocco at this charming Riad in Chefchaouen the blue city. Our room was in the front portion that had interiors openings to the atrium above the reception. There was a TV in the room but we couldn’t get it to work. We had both a dinner and breakfast in the main lobby area and the service was very good. The only downside was the noise from the lobby in our room. Asking for a room in the rear of the Riad may be a bit quieter.
