We went to spend the day to Chefchaouen in april, it is bigger than we expected!!! But we just walked the Medine and thought it was beautiful, everything is blue. If you do a little hike you can see all the city from the mountain, it is across the river. Just stunning!!! I highly recommend this city, it was a great surprise!!

Wandering through cobbled streets, many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Love the mix of residents and hippie tourists.

Chefchaouen in one word? Blue. In two? Magical blue.
Full of labyrinth streets and blue toned walls, this place is mysterious and relaxed. Incredibly so, it is not very publicized as a major touristic spot in Morocco. Go now, before it is. You'll loooove it!

Being only fifteenth century, this is one of Morocco's newest cities. I could walk endlessly, up, down and around its lanes, catches glimpses of the stark Riff Mountains behind, the Berber women in their tall straw hats with purple trim and the red and white striped cloths they wrap around their skirts. I'm sorry that I didn't buy more of the amber and agate trimmed Berber jewelry.
And get a look at those oranges the size of grapefruit in the market!

Lovely old city. All the houses are painted blue and white. It is very clean, tidy and felt safe. I loved exploring the narrow alleyways and sitting in the cages. I walked up the surrounding hills and had great views. The highlight of our weeks trip to morocco..
