Had an afternoon wondering around the the lanes and allies of the old town of this beautiful city in the mountains. Can only highly recommend it. Feel 100% safe, no hassling, great range of amazing good to buy, lovely views around every corner and everything you'd want from a wonderful old city. Come see for yourself!

The Chefchaouen Medina was beautiful. Also as busy as the rest but so different. I did not spend enough time there. Definitely going back and will spend 3 days to take all in.

The medina in Chefchaouen is undeniably pretty because it is a) hilly and b) blue. Otherwise, it's just a medina like lots of others in Morocco. It has the usual tricky places, hawkers, cafes, cats, souvenir shops, carpets etc etc etc. You could happily spend a few hours here mooching about and passing the time of day with the pleasant people you find there.
