The hotel is located just outside the main bus station. If you don't want to take a taxi and carry heavy luggage to find a hotel in the medina up in the hill after a long ride, this hotel is the best choice. The Owner Annasr is very obliging. Other than normal welcome with mint tea, he explained how to get around this small town with useful inforamtion. He can help get seats of the ctm bus to Casablanca even though it is full according to the ctm office in the bus station. Although we book a double room, we were taken to a room attached to a family suite with tv. It's ok as we were the only guests of the suite. The room is spacious, with an air-conditioner. The bathroom is clean although hot water may be getting cold after about 10 mins. Breakfast is the most surprise in our stay in Morocco. We were served with a fried egg, fresh organge juice and freshly brewed coffee in addition to bread and jam. Highly recommended and value for money.

My stay at Casa Annasr was definitely the highlight of my 14-day trip through Morocco. From the point of arrival to departure we felt that we were staying with family. Although Casa Annasr is not located in the medina, it is located just a stone’s throw away from the bus station, which makes it easy for taxi drivers to find. We never had any problems getting to or from the medina. We enjoyed being way from it all in the mornings and evenings so the location was no problem for us whatsoever. We had a double room with a terrace view that I think had been refurbished recently. The bathroom fittings were brand new and the room was also fitted with a flat-screen satellite TV. Not that we watched any TV. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. However, and most importantly, the views from the terrace were amazing! We started and ended every day with it and it was a transformational experience, seriously… It definitely changed my outlook on life. It was just so beautiful! The breakfast was amongst the best that we had in Morocco. Fresh (proper) coffee every day, served with fresh bread, goat’s cheese (the Chefchaouen speciality), eggs and yoghurt. This was all very lovingly served by one of the members of the family.

I cannot think of anything to complain about, even the slightest. It was an all-around great experience and I loved every minute of it! We will definitely be coming back…

Room Tip: The room with a terrace view is a no brainer!

We were made very welcome at Casa Annasr. It was easy to locate and only 10-15 mins from the Medina. Parking is right outside. We were welcomed with mint tea and were given all the help we needed from Layachi (In English, Spanish or French....) and his brother, who own the house. We enjoyed the walk through the town to the wonderful Medina. The breakfast was great.

We stayed at Casa Annasr for two nights on a recent family trip to Morocco. The rooms are nothing fancy, but the space is generous and clean, and the hospitality is fantastic. As you generally are in Morocco, we were greeted with mint tea when we arrived after a 15 hour day of travel. We were immediately made comfortable. We rented a family suite (two connected bedrooms) for three people, but we easily could have slept 6 in that space. We had a double bed in one room, and a double + single in the other, with an additional single bed in a sort of annex space. Breakfast was made each morning -- they went to the extra trouble of making eggs and cafe con leche for us, and turning the TV in the lobby to the American Al Jazera station so we could catch up on the news. For the space, the hospitality, and the breakfast, it was a great deal. The host speaks decent English, but we enjoyed practicing our Spanish with he and his son. It's about a 15 minute uphill walk from the Casa to the medina in Chefchoeun, but the walk was enjoyable and we got to see a lot of the life of the town on the way (we also caught a cab the day we didn't feel like walking). It would pretty brutal in the high summer heat, though. It's also across from the bus station, which makes transport easy and made it easy for the grant taxi driver we hired in Tangier to find the place. The host helped arrange our travel to Fez when we departed, which ended up being important because we were there over Eid and the buses were all full and most taxis weren't operating. All in all a wonderful experience.

Stayed at Casa Annasr for 2 nights. Convenient location next to the bus station, but about a 20 minute walk to the Medina ... so depends what you are looking for. Had the 6th floor room with a lovely terrace to enjoy gorgeous sunsets over the mountains.
The staff were beyond helpful. Very generous and kind. Breakfast was nice - with an egg, yogurt and croissant as a bonus!!
Had a fridge and tv in the room, however wifi only works in the lobby.

Firstly it's easy to find because if you arrive by coach it's on the other side of the street from the station and if you arrive by car you follow the signs for the station (Gare Routiere) which avoids driving through the town. You can park outside the hotel. The station isn't noisy but some of the locals are (the kids use the station floodlighting to play football until midnight). It is a little way from the main part of town, about a 20 min steep uphill walk but you can get a taxi. The owner proudly showed us to the fifth floor which has a terrace (but no lift). Sadly you have to look over a building site immediately in front of the hotel to see the view across the valley. Also when we arrived there was a very unpleasant, overpowering odour which we eventually identified as urine which has passed its best. We later saw that there are goats in the field in front. If the wind was in the wrong direction it really was unpleasant to the point where we could smell it on our clothes when we unpacked in Casablanca.
The rooms are very charmingly decorated and much of it looks to be relatively new. The rooms we had were clean but not entirely practical as they had no cupboards or storage so we were tripping over bags. However as we had the terrace we didn't spend much time in the room. Also the rooms are advertised with air conditioning but neither of ours did. We asked for a fan which was promised but never appeared. I would advise you check if you are going to be there when it is hot. The beds had the usual unforgiving mattresses we found everywhere. It offers free WiFi but it only worked in the foyer. However you could not avoid the overwhelming friendliness and generosity of the owner and family. We had a very pleasant breakfast each morning and he allowed us to use another family room to use the washing machine and do our laundry. He recommended a trip for us which was very good. For the price we thought it was very good value and the hill wasn't a problem as we were only there for three days and at least it's downhill when you've had enough of the town.

Room Tip: Fifth and sixth floors have a private terrace.

went the extra mile to make us feel at home at all times; fantastic decor of an enormous raid that created a maze of courtyards, aspects and environments; very spacious rooms;marvelous terrace with view of chefchaouen, excellent food - . I have been in chefchaouen many time, but the Riad was an experience in its own right. Can't wait to go back.
