This well-known eatery left us wanting. Nothing bad about it, but nothing special either. Food was average for a country where some simple meals often draw sighs of delight. Welcome by the manager was kind and professionnal, but service perfunctional. At least the personel did not wear the “One Thousand and One Nights” costume that those at Aladdin’s Lamp restaurant—another “meh” in Chefchaouen—have to sport. Our best food in town turns to have been in the cafés of the main square.
