It is a lovely place, well decorated, with a wonderful terrace for breakfast, nice helpful staff, good breakfast. There is also a kitchen that you can use to prepare snacks.
As usual for hotels and riads inside a medina, you have to park your car outside the medina, close to the gate. The advantage of this hotel is that it is close to the gate and the walk is very short. There will be a man asking for money to take care about your car and to carry your luggage until the hotel. It can be scary mostly if you come from Fes or Marrakesh, where you feel stolen sometimes, but it is different in Chaouen. People here are honest and friendly. Dont be affraid. If you arrive on thurday, like me, you will find the gate region very crowded because of the market.
Chaouen is my favourite place in Morocco and the best place to get lost in the medina, because it is a small one and you are going to feel safe all the time.

Room Tip: H3 is a nice room option for 3 people. There is a double bed for a couple and second bed on a 'm...

We arrived in chaouen walked around and found this beautiful place named casa perleta. Bergonia is a really nice woman, thanks to her we walked through beautiful places especially the trek we did that leads to the second mosque on the mountain.
We spent a lot of time on the beautiful terrace of casa perleta, such a peaceful place!!
Thank you very much for those amazing 3 days!

I stayed at Casa Perleta for 4 days and enjoyed every one of them. The hostess and the staff are exceptional.
The location is within walking distance to main plaza and the small city bazaar.
I highly recommend Casa Perleta on your next trip to Chefchaouen.

This is a real gem inside the blue city!

The rooms are very basic and spartan, but tastefully decorated. The real beauty of the place is in the common areas, rooftop terrace and breakfast nook. Brilliant colors, bright pink flowers against blue walls, rich fabrics. The staff was exceedingly friendly (perhaps overly so) and eager to provide tips, recommendations and directions. Breakfast was served each morning on the sun-drenched terrace, which was a delightful way to start the day. It was a simple meal of sweet mint tea, coffee, dates and bread.

There are a couple down sides to be aware of. It is near a mosque, meaning that you are likely to hear the early morning call to prayer from any room. If you are not Muslim, this could be a nuisance. That said, it would be very difficult to find any hotel in Chefchaouen not near a mosque!

Parking is outside the medina. I found this arrangement nerve-racking. The parking area is teeming with cars and people. A "parking attendant" of sorts insisted on having our keys and taking a fee. Not having any idea whether this guy was legit, we refused at first. He followed us up to and inside Casa Perleta. He finally produced some sort of ID badge and we paid him off. It turns out he was legitimate and did keep an eye on the car, so if this happens to you, just go with the flow. That said again, this would probably be true of most any hotel in the medina, and Casa Perleta is only a brief walk (3-5 minutes) from the parking area.

stayed here while on vacation and absolutely enjoyed my stay. staff is incredible and very helpful. the riad also has a terrace with a panoramic view and the inside and outside is the typical blue. the staff made sure we would not get lost and spent a lot of time explaining the area with a map. the room had i stood in had its own bathroom and airconditioner. my overall experience was a really great one here and i would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here at the beginning of our 15 day tour of Morocco in April, after arriving in Tangier. Begonia and Mohamed made us feel we were friends and not just guests from the moment we arrived. We stayed the first night in the room on the first floor near reception, due to a slight mixup and the second in the room near the rooftop terrace. The first floor room was quiet in spite of being near the entrance and was a nice room. The 3rd floor room was lovely since we could just wander out to the terrace/dining area and was larger. We also like the fact that this riad is inside the medina and easy to find, so when we went off wandering on our own, we didn't get lost! Chefchaouen is beautiful quaint town, and one of our favorites on our trip. I can't speak to price since all our accommodations were included on our tour, but I would stay here again for sure!

Room Tip: If you can, book one of the 2 rooms on the upper floor where the roof terrace is!

I always feel like the #1 places on Tripadvisor don't need the review -- but they want to stay #1 right? This riad is lovely. So warm and comfortable and stylish. The proprietors are very welcoming, showing you around, making you feel as if this is your house for the night. The roof deck where we had our breakfast was gorgeous. And the location is right in the middle of chefchaouen -- a truly beautiful gem of a town. If you are on the fence about going to Chefchaouen -- jump off. It's fabulous, not too touristy yet and absolutely gorgeous.
