It is a lovely place, well decorated, with a wonderful terrace for breakfast, nice helpful staff, good breakfast. There is also a kitchen that you can use to prepare snacks.
As usual for hotels and riads inside a medina, you have to park your car outside the medina, close to the gate. The advantage of this hotel is that it is close to the gate and the walk is very short. There will be a man asking for money to take care about your car and to carry your luggage until the hotel. It can be scary mostly if you come from Fes or Marrakesh, where you feel stolen sometimes, but it is different in Chaouen. People here are honest and friendly. Dont be affraid. If you arrive on thurday, like me, you will find the gate region very crowded because of the market.
Chaouen is my favourite place in Morocco and the best place to get lost in the medina, because it is a small one and you are going to feel safe all the time.
