We visited Asilah during the off-season (March) and took in the ambience of whitewashed buildings with blue tints minus the crowds. This little seaside village of about 2,000 inhabitants is quite nice. Apparently it attracts a lot of artists during the summer season. It has a nicer beach than we photographed. Charming place. Poor, unemployed young men are eager to become your guide and best friend. Beware of fathers and other relatives that try to capitalize on the new friendship. Easy access by train from Tangier (45 minutes).
