I've been a few months ago in this charming hotel in Asilah. Don't miss it!The staff was lovely and helpful. Very close to the "medina". Beautiful scenery from the top floor of the hotel. Looking forward to coming back!

We travelled from Madrid to Tangiers. We had previously arranged with the hotel to have a taxi waiting to take us to the hotel Al Alba in Asilah. We got to this small but quite new hotel, painted in white and blue colours, the predominant colours also inside the hotel.
The rooms, as the rest of the hotel were spotlesly clean. We had a suite with a large bed, a bathroom with shower and a kind of reception room with two large sofas that could be turned into beds, but that we used as our place for resting, relaxing and reading. The bedding and the towels were changed daily.
The staff were friendly, attentive, always with a smile waiting to help us. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, and they succeeded. They were incredibly helpful and booked local taxis, that were good value for money, for our trips to Cape Spartel, Tangiers and Tetouan.
The food was exquisite, delicious and abundant. Natural food prepared in a homely manner by Moroccan women. Every meal was a surprise. We never knew what we were going to have until we sat at the table. We trusted Luis, the hotel owner, and were not disappointed. We had all the typical Moroccan dishes: beef and stewed lamb with boiled potatoes, meat balls with rice, cous-cous topped with meat and vegetables, tagines of fish and chicken, plenty of bread and cups of weet tea to end the meals.
This small hotel is in a great location, only two minute walk to the long sandy beaches and ten minute walk to the Medina, one of the cleanest and safest Medinas in Morocco. We spent several evenings walking and shopping, on our own, along the narrow streets without any problerms. This location allows you to have your meals at the hotel. This is something that we strongly adivse you to do.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. We believe this is a good place to stay for those who want to come into contct with Morocco, its people and culture.
We will surely be back for another trip.

One of our favourite hotels. Our fourth visit this time on the return to the Uk after the London Casablance classic car rally. Arriving as dusk was falling we received a great welcome and refreshing Moroccan tea. Luis and Nihal couldn’t have been more helpful with our two major tasks for the evening. One was to find the times of the ferries to Algeciras the following day. The other as important was to find where we could buy an authentic Moroccan tagine for the Driver’s wife (the Driver being seriously in need of brownie points having been away for over two weeks!) In respect of the ferry times, Luis searched the internet and even phoned the ferry company coming up with a list of “possible” times. The tagine problem was quickly solved by Luis insisting on GIVING us one from their stock!! We enjoyed a great dinner with them, accompanied by the best Moroccan wine of the Driver’s experience.
Leaving in the morning we were bowled over by Luis insisting on GIVING us a bottle of the wine to take back to the UK!!!
Yet another memorable and very special visit

My husband and I just spent two nights at Al Alba and couldn't have been more thrilled. The facility itself is just lovely - the room was spacious and included a clean en suite with hot water, a TV, air-con and use of wi-fi. The lounge downstairs is well-appointed and comfortable...but, more importantly, the staff were just fantastic. Despite an occasional language barrier, they offered us a lovely and complete breakfast each morning, organised a taxi for us and even woke up early to ensure that we had breakfast at 6.30am before our flight!

If you have occasion to stay in Asilah, I'd definitely recommend Al Alba - it is among the nicest places we stayed during our 16 days in Morocco!

You will have little to complain about in this b and b style hotel, apart from not having a resturant on site, as its a little bit out of main stream, although we discovered too late that they do offer food on request which looked very good .
Resturant at end off road ripped us off so badly that i feel i should warn other travellers food is ok and guy speaks good english and makes you feel very welcome but it leads to a certain sting in the tail, but think he has forgotten about the power off the internet and trip advisor
