beautiful location but really ruined by lots of boats coming in and out and standard of most of the hotels was low.

Redang is one of the famous world-class diving site with its pristine blue water just a few kilometres from the mainland Terengganu, Malaysia. Its natural beauty is such that photos taken there seems like what you see in travel brochures, postcards and Windows desktops.

Its clear, turquoise blue water is like swimming pool, and even when you are away like 500m into the sea and the the water is 40ft deep, you can still see the seafloor and the fishes and turtles swimming in it.

There are several resorts and chalet operators managing the beaches in Redang. If you prefer the resort-type you can book Berjaya Redang or the Laguna Redang Resorts etc or you can choose to stay in small chalet facing the sea managed by smaller operators. I prefer the closer-to-nature chalet and I was not disappointed, and cheaper too.

Go for their 3D2N or 4D3N package, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snorkelling and a visit to the Maritime Park.

Redang is accessible by ferry from Merang, Terengganu or you can take Berjaya Air and fly straight from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
