It was a fantastic trip and a wonderful experience. The rooms were basic but very comfortable and what we expected. The food was amazing and so was the staff. Side trips like snorkeling was very well organized and professional.

I thought overall this resort is excellent. The manager and receptionist are friendly and helpful. The welcome drinks upon check in we’re a nice welcome. We thought the location was good - both close to and far away enough from the party depending on what you want to do. Loved the daily cocktail what an amazing addition!!Rooms are well appointed with excellent air con. Most have nice views. They didn’t seem to clean them very thoroughly though, and one night we had quite a lot of ants on our bed as a result, which we had to clear before sleeping.We found the service by the main staff in the restaurant (1 gentleman who seemed to perhaps be the restaurant manager and another one) a bit rude and abrupt. Where other guests got ‘sir/madam’ we were pointed at without even words one morning to give our hot beverage requests. We noticed a difference to how we were treated compared to white guests (we are British Indians) which isn’t acceptable. This put a bit of a taint on a lovely stay. Paying customers are paying customers after all.. and we are polite and courteous wherever we go.

Bubu was lovely perfect location right by the jetty. I felt sorry for some of the poor people lugging there bags down the beach to other accomodation. Bubu was the only hotel with free sun lounges out on the beach. Staff were fabulous. I would definitley go back. Thanks for a great stay.
First the staff, very friendly and helpful. Worked very hard to attend to our needs.
Staff at both breakfast and dinner provided great service.
We took the snorkel trip for half a day. The guy (Isaac) took good care of us to ensure that we saw the turtles, the Sharks and the fish. A very worthwhile experience!
Now the hotel, the room was in need of a full remodel. Needed painting, the bathroom door was swollen and needed a lot of effort to close it (from the banging heard through the night, it seems that many doors were difficult and needed a good slam!), the bathroom was a little basic (as you might find on a ferry).
The place needs some investment. I believe that this will happen as the price paid was high and the people staying there were not back packers.
I hope for the sake of the staff, that they get the hotel that their efforts deserve.
The resort itself is lovely, nice location and facilities however the customer service was lacking..The room we were originally given was poor, it was supposed to be a “sea view” but overlooked another balcony and a small rubbish tip.. we asked to change room which the staff agreed to however we ended up sitting around waiting for an update.. when we tried to ask the staff for an update they would either walk away or avoid answering our questions.. it took a while to finally get a response! Not sure what was going on...The other issue was room service, we only stayed 3 days and no one cleaned our room until the 3rd day.. again we asked numerous times for this but our requests were ignored.. we paid a lot for the room and clean towels/ bedding is a pretty standard request which they themselves agreed should have been provided every day..It’s a shame, as the resort itself was nice.. just very poor staff that lacked management, it’s a shame as it tainted our stay .. it’s the one place we stayed that didn’t even ask us if we enjoyed our stay, I can see why..

I'm sorry for the lack of service that you experienced and will not make excuses for it. We will definitely take into account the feedback on our housekeeping staff and will definitely be working towards making sure this does not happen again as rooms should be made up daily unless guests request to not be disturbed. If you do come to the island again in the future do let us know and we will try to make it up to you.
