i was there with a couple of friends and the owner of ombak decided to charge us 350 ringitt for one night, when the average price in perhential kecil was around 100 ringitt. in fact, for 100 ringitt you could sleep in a very nice bungalow, clean, in front of the beach. but ok, it was high season and there were not much accommodation left so we had no option.
the room turned out to be a very very very standard room with absolutely nothing that would suggest that the price was reasonable. the service was awful, with only one type of breakfast possible (of course not western) and having to pay for the milk if you wanted it in your coffee!! it was a very bad experience so we left the following day 9am to look for a nicer place around the whole island and got super nice rooms in front of the beach for less than 100 ringitt a night.
don't waste your time in ombak.
