Have spent three holidays at D'Coconut, don't be put off by the strange name, this is an excellent resort. the staff are very friendly especially Kumah in the bar. Each evening he had drinks ready for our party as we came down for drinks before dinner. Sitting in the bar looking out over the bay was beautiful.
Beaches and coves are very safe for non-swimmers and kids. In less than a metre of water you can see many fish including Nemos. Dive school will also take you on snorkelling trips - better to book one for yourself as the daily trip tends to be a bit crowded.
Food is great but after a week or so tends to be a bit repetitive. Our party would have a late breakfast, then a quiet read in the lounge in the morning. After lunch was a snooze and then into the water. All the holidays at D'Coconut were so relaxing.

Room Tip: Foreigners pay more than local Malaysians

A bit pricy compare to other resorts but worth it if you want a relax & quiet escape. Has it own private beach, soft fine sand & crystal clear water with fishes swimming between your legs.
We stayed at west wing (4d3n) and the room is beyond our expectation. Morning wake up call by our squirrel friend at the balcony.
Can just jump into the water and do snorkeling anytime, friendly staff brought us to see baby reef sharks, and blue sand at night, we dun want to come out of the water ! Dive master & instructors are wonderful, kind enough to carry the tank for me on / off the boat, Thank you Cap Jus Sparrow !

Room Tip: East wing is more convenient for divers.

Nice quiet location. Staff very attentive and friendly. Ideal if you want to get away from it all. Large room but bathroom could have been better. We stayed in the West Wing. The food was fine but quite repetitive.

Beautiful scenic views. Beach is breathtaking, and forest is lovely. The hotel was ok, not luxurious, but passable, especially with the island views. Buffet is also nice, food different every day and night, but don't expect a huge array of choices. Pretty basic for the price. Food not bad, just not very fresh. The bathrooms in the rooms need to seriously be improved, I hate that kind of bathroom, where the shower is the floor. Room service not impressive, all they did was sweep, change towels, and make the bed. Toilet not scrubbed or anything. There are also no hangers in the closet. Snorkeling was not really good, most of the corals have died. We have gone to Redang ad Tioman in the past years, and they had a stunning coral display. Unfortunately, in the past two years, corals have begun to decline.

On a run, I came across a huge turtle digging on the beach.

A little pricey for what you get.

Clearly choosing D'Coconut Lagoon Resort was the best decision we made in relation to our Lang Tengah trip. No other resort comes close. We stayed in the West Wing where it was quieter, rooms were of better quality and the beach right in front was pristine. The manager Daniel was super helpful with all queries, even helping us to book bus tickets at Kuala Terengganu. However, our stay was not without problems. Their 'tour guides', while knowledgeable, was disrespectful towards the environment (throwing cigarette butts into the sea) and was not professional (lone women travelers might be harassed). Food here is ok, not good or bad (we didn't take any packages and instead ordered ala carte). In short, this resort is your best choice in Lang Tengah, but it isn't perfect.

Room Tip: Choose a room at West Wing, fronting the sea

This is my most disappointing island trip to date due to the hygiene factor. The room has spider webs all over. There were even flies flying around. The room kettle was filthy and yellow, with dirt in it! The toilet was the worst! It smells like a public toilet, with the sink so small and only drips of water running through the tap. Would take probably 10 minutes to fill up a glass of water. And to make it worse there was no water at night. Not sure if there wasn't sufficient supply or hotel policy to ration. When the water was back in the morning, it is brown in colour. We spent 2 nights there and the only consolation is the company we had. And not surprising, at the end of the trip we all fell sick. 9 of us went there, 7 of us got food poisoning!

The entire trip is a major let down!the hotel looks pretty from the outside but it is a major disappointment once u open the room door. The beds made squeaky sounds and the aircond is covered with a layer of sticky yellow dust. There's a terrible stench in the toilet which lasted throughout our entire stay there, which attracted flies. Spider webs are also left unattended.later we found out that there are nicer rooms at the east wing which they didnt even tell us when we booked the room. They also turned off all water supplies around 9pm. We can't even brush our teeth!snokerling trips are not amazing either with mostly dead corals at the snorkeling spots. Right before we left the island, a friend's phone and battery pack went missing mysteriously. When we asked the staffs for help, they didn't seem to bother at all and shrugged it off! This is highly suspicious! Thank god for the great company else there will be nothing worth mentioning in the trip.
