Rooms are spacious and clean. We were on the 1st floor, so had a balcony. It's about a 20-min walk to the Sepilok Orangutan Centre. It's hard to stay closer to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, and a taxi to the centre from this B&B was about 20 RMB (about US$7) - worth it when the heat is overwhelming. The only concern is that meal service can be SLOOOOOOW if you don't pre-order your food. So be sure to pre-order. Great value for money.

Myself and girlfriend was booked into the Sepilok B&B for a friend's wedding. Just the two of us ended up staying in unit A2, which has a double bed, and 4 bunk beds!

The unit is near the reception area, but on the edge of the jungle. Huge, it has the mentioned beds and a living room corner with satellite TV and a kitchen basin, although no other kitchen facilities / utensils.

Aircon is provided in this particular room, but because the room is so big, it took a while to cool down - although it isn't a problem at night as it gets relatively cold anyway. There are 2 fans to spread the cool around, plus another fan on the patio for when you're lounging around outside.

The double bed has mattress of the foam variety, which is comfortable enough, especially after a long day of exploring. The bunk beds - which I tried for fun, has the same foam mattresses. All the beds are covered with comforters and lined with a sheet. It's sufficient to be nice and cuddly during the night.

The bathroom is basic, basin toilet and heated shower in a clean, comfortable space.

The staff is very friendly and also very helpful.

The location of the Sepilok B&B is within walking distance of both the Rainforest Discover Centre and the Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, making it a strategic stay if you plan on visiting both these locations.

It's a bit out of Sandakan town though, but even so it's just about 1km from the Sepilok roundabout from where you can catch a bus to town - which is about 15 - 20km away, but slow going due to the traffic and the single carriageway road.

The only area where I feel the B&B can improve is breakfast. Toast and usually 2 side-dishes are provided (noodles and eggs it seemed). But on both days we found 1 dish finished and it wasn't refilled. The coffee pot is also, for some reason, kept at no more than 25% full - which is about 3 cups and not so good when more than 3 people arrive for breakfast.

Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: The units nearest the reception are obviously the most convenient. The newer rooms towards the back of the property is a short 5 minute walk.

We stayed two nights, in one of the "de-luxe" rooms. The room was very big, with two bunk beds in addition to the double bed. There was also a sofa and table, and a private verandah. There was also an air-con unit, but we did not use it as the ceiling fan was quite adequate. There was a en-suite batroom with an electric shower that worked well. No soap was provided in the bathroom.
The room was set aside from the main reception & restaurant, which provided free wi-fi, and basic (toast, fruit & coffee + maybe some noodles) breakfast. The meals served at lunchtime and evening were variable and did not seem particularly good value compared with elsewhere in Sabah. The staff happily arranged laundry at short notice.
We found the staff friendly & generally helpful.
One slight negative is that we would expect rooms to be made up & towels changed daily without any remiders from us.
The location is superb, being a short drive from the Urang Utan rehabillitaion centre, the Labuk Bay Probobscis Monkey centre, and a short walk from the impressive Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Overall, this was a great place to stay.

Room Tip: There are several types of accomodation, from campsite to "de-luxe" rooms. Discuss when making the booking.

Nothing much to say just Thank GOD for send us to this nice place. The staff is so great and helpfull. Sometimes they are so busy but still can smile if we need their help. The woman in Hijab is so kind & a great host. The food is ok and was a little overpriced. Our room is clean and big with a ceiling fan and you can see the hornbills in the morning.

Room Tip: We are in H1 for two nights and the rate is reasonable (value for money)

Simple but clean room, large and airy. Close to rainforest discovery centre and 10-15mins walk from Orangutans. Restaurant reasonable. Free wifi in restaurant. Included breakfast just toast and tea.
