We stayed at ops the night before we headed out for the 3D/2N jungle your. It was amazing, saw so much wildlife and had a great time! The staff was really nice, had great food, and the rooms were good.

We weren't expecting this accomodation to be great, but it was adequate. Small rooms with air con (and it works pretty well), a bed and bathroom (only cold water). However, you do get all meals provided, and they were pretty good. Free transfer to the Orangutan Sanctuary was very handy, as was the lunch when you get back from the wildlife camp. They won't let you go hungry!

We stayed in uncle tan's b&b because we left the other day for their jungle camp. If you do the same. Stay one night in sandakan, as you will have other nights to spend in a very basic accommodation. There was no internet connection and just cold water!

People stay here on either side of going to their river camp, and its a good stay.

Large common area, pool table, table tennis, darts, basketball court.

The food is good. Price of room including the full board food is decent. The double room we stayed in was basic but fine. AC was good.

The price of their souvenirs could be cheaper; a basic printed tshirt was 40myr.

it was a long story before we found this place. We arrived sepilok at night and realised that the resort that we booked earlier was deep inside the forest. It gave us such a horrible and scary feel at the time we reach there. The place was dark, quiet and nobody at the reception. Finally, we decided to look for other place to overnight. Then we found Uncle Tan after few calls to the resorts nearby, where it still have an emply room for two poor girl that looking for a bed during midnight. Thanks god!
We got a double room with shower. The room was basic, but not really clean. It was damp and there were some insect inside the room. This was okay to us, since it was built inside the forest. Anyway, I would suggest to have a drinking water dispenser at the long house. Because it was some distance for us to walk to the cafe area to get some drinking water at midnight.
The breakfast was okay, with choices of fried noodles, toast and jam, coffee and tea as well. Overall, the staffs are friendly and helpful. However, they will need some improvement to keep up the place. As I seen the garden beside the café was messy. Also, the price for this basic accomodation is quite expensive compare to others at the same area. You can get a lower price and even better one nearby.

We have just come back from uncle tan's jungle camp and it was great! You need to be prepared for very basic accommodation, huts with no walls, mattress on the floor with a mossie net, and bucket showers. But even though it is basic it is clean and well presented and the staff are wonderful. The wildlife tours are great, we saw so much - gibbons, orangutan, probuscus monkeys and heels of birds and other wildlife. I would recommend the three day tour to ensure you really get to see the wildlife, the trip down a tributary to the conservation zone was particularly special. The knowledge of the guides was fabulous and they are so helpful. We had a fabulous time.

Friendly staff and decent rooms. Took us for free to the nearby Sepilok orangutan sanctuary, which is really the only reasons to be in this area. We did the Uncle Tan jungle trip later as well, which was also great.
