This hotel looks old. Feels old. The room was OK. The room can do with some upgrading though.

Location:
Good Location, few resorts in the same row. Easy to find food stall and restaurant.
Reception:
Lobby is hot especially in the mid afternoon, they switch off the air cond but with fans in the lobby. Check in was fast.
Room:
Renovated, comfortable bed with 2 single sofa seats, fully carpeted. Air cond is good.
Bathroom:
Tiles have changed to new one, but toilet bowl / bath tub/ washing basin and mirror still use the old one. Shower with hot water but the shower head is old and the water pressure is low even i stay in 2nd floor. Toiletries was simple, no hand and face towel.
Breakfast:
This is advised that not to buy their buffet breakfast if breakfast not included in your package. The food was so simple and lack of selection and only 1 choice to choose in the omelette counter.
Pool:
Nice pool and i was enjoyed to swim there.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with seaview room, worth paying the extra charges.

I know this is not a five star hotel, but it could do much much better. Let me just quickly list down what I don't like about this hotel.
- Some rooms (i.e. the one I stayed in) had no view at all. it was facing the large aircond evaporator/condensor unit which was humming throughout the day and night
- Lift - there's only the old service lift available, otherwise use stairs only. Would be very troublesome esp for elders and those with back problems
- Bathroom - the shower head had leaks all over them. One faucet stem came off while i was turning on the cold water. And the shower curtain had moulds all over it. Yucks!
- HSE hazard all over the hotel e.g. some of the fire extinguisher holders was hanging by one screw instead of at least two

on the positive side, at least the beach was nice. and the pool OK (compared to last year when it was murky). 2 beach volley courts, 2 beach soccer courts.

It was one of the better ones compared to the other average priced hotels available. For the price you pay, the room is ok. Nothing much to complain about. The staff are friendly enough. But during school holidays, it can get too packed and noisy. The beach is just behind the hotel and it's quite clean. Their poolside BBQ is something to try.

Port Dickson has got one thing going for it - and one thing alone. It's only 1 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. Just about everything else is utter rubbish. The water is poluted, the beaches are not really clean, most of the hotels/resorts are very poor and most of them are hugely overpriced.

Selesa Beach resort is in no way perfect. I was told it is one of the oldest resorts in Port Dickson and it shows. They have introduced a "no alcohol" policy not long ago. However, it is located right on the best beach there is in Port Dickson and contrary to all the other resorts they don't charge an insane price. I'd say it's worth what you pay and I would definitely go there again. The rooms are not quite as nice as Avilion's best rooms - but they only cost a fraction of the insane price Avilion charge. The food is crap but 2 minutes walk on the beach and there's a nice stretch of restaurants that server OK food.

Room Tip: I was there on a week day so it was nice and quiet. I would guess the rooms facing the pool could get noisy in weekends.
