Very extensive museum where you can see all the uniforms from early malay kingdom though colonial, WWII and modern Malaysia, with all the weapons, small arms and ordinance like mine, grenades. There is also an big part on the WWII with japanese army exhibits.
Also a lot of armored vehicule, from the Bren carrier MK1 to mounted arty, and mobile radar, with an armored train too!!!
But also helicopters, jets and destroyed engines from the WWII.
you can also see reconstution of the different unit, with detailled history of the units and army in Malaysia.
But the best part was the reconstitution of communist underground camp, made from an actual one. you can see the hospital, dorms, communication rooms, weapons rooms. Its is dark inside and many babies were afraid to get down the tunnels, because the atmosphere is really well done.
One of the best army museum, I have visited, because it does not only display the uniforms and weapons (like army museum usually do) but they and reconstitutions of units with models in jungle or different situation with sounds too. Love the boat reconstitution displaying the invasion of malacca.
The museum staff did a great job and a must go if you like these kind of things.
