We stayed in the water villa's the room was huge, with 2 king sized beds and our own private pool. My only criticism would be that there was not enough food option for children. The service was excellent.

Check in for a night during the super peak yr end. Booked with corporate rate at rm600/night sky pool villa. We were there mainly enjoying the pool & chilling out with a bunch of friends.

Location is a bit out of town, driving will takes about 10-15 min. Not much restaurant nearby.

The villa is in a good size, with 2 king beds, a small pantry, seperate shower and toilet and also a 4 ft pool. As the pool is fully sheltered , don't expect any sunlight. Also, the water is too chilly to dip in. Lack of chairs at the courtyard. Good view of the sea at the balcony. Pls be very careful with the lifesaver as some of the edge is a bit rough and may cost harm.

Restaurant food was expensive and not up to standard. Check in and check out takes longer time as it was peak period.

If what you need is only a private pool go ahead, if not, no point waste money staying here as there're nothing much to do.

Great place for tired parents to unwind in airconditioned comforts of the hotel room while still keeping an eye on the kids playing in the pool. The partly sheltered pool was a bit deep for the very young ones, (around 1 metre). The room's king-sized beds were big enough to fit a family of 4-5, Breakfast spread was good. In terms of location, there is really not much to see or do. You have to drive out if you want eat outside of the hotel. Or you can go to the supermarket nearby and cook using the hotel room's microwave..

Room Tip: Most units were lined side by side in the water in rows and facing each other. There were a few Prem...

we had booked a deluxe pool villa but upon checking in we found the room quite clastrophobic as there were no proper windows for outside viewing except for a small panel window by the small bathtub like pool side. we asked for a change and paid extra for a sky pool villa with a sea view which was much better in terms of open feeling.

everything was great:
- rooms were neat and clean with balinese style decor
- the pool was big and clean ( except for the icy cold water: wish the water could have been slightly warmer for a comfortable swim: we were almost shivering and could not go in more than once!! what a waste)
- breakfast seems to have improved from all the negative reviews we have read here. they had quite a variety and good food.
-only two restaurants and seems a little high on price. we recommend you to drive down to tanjung gemuk which is only a few minutes drive where you get life seafood restaurant. lots of small restaurant by the seaside too.
-only shopping worth seeing is the Central Market/the store/giant and TF.

our only setback was that there was no wifi for almost two days of our stay there despite various complaints nothing was done except for a few sorries here and there. we were truly upset as our work was badly hampered by it and one of the reason of being in this hotel was the free wifi. Only on the last check out day and after much dissappointment shown to the staff, they took the trouble to have it repaired.but it was of not much use as we had to check out in 3 hours.

we wish the staff ( although with a fake smile) could have been genuinely warmer and personal when it came to work. we understand the pressure of work and all that but it will give a very warm feeling for guest to be welcomes genuinely instead of being shown its just part of the job.

otherwise it was a great stay ..will surely recommend and come back again one day.
-my only negative feedback is the

I was here twice.. first was way back in 2009, 2 months after i gave birth to my daughter. The hotel was named The Legend International Water Homes back then. It was somehow changed to Grand Lexis now. The amenities was great, lots of activities offered.

The room is clean and well maintained. The best part is the private pool inside the room. No matter what is the weather outside, you can always have a dip since the pool is covered (depending on the room type - if I am not mistaken, Garden Pool type room does not have covered pool).

Other than swimming, lots of other activities are there. You can purchase the activity pasport, at RM68 per booklet. It is basically a booklet of voucher that can be used, tht includes segway, archery, table tennis, cycling, game tokens, wii games and many more. There's also a 30& discount voucher in the booklet. Such a good value, so go purchase the activity pasport if you intend to do other activities as well.

Food-wise ok. Breakfast is good with quite a good selection. Nasi lemak is good but the chicken curry is not tasty. The rest is good.

Another plus point is the buggy. You can call the buggy from the hotel room or go get them in front of the lobby if you want to go back to your room. Buggy service is provided 24hours a day, but limited number of buggy are available after 11pm, which is quite ok considering that you might be sound asleep after a packed day.

We stayed one night had a room with 2 big beds and a pool. We love the private pool. Rooms are well maintained, clean. The recept we asked for directions on where to have dinner can be more friendly though. She's pretty but icy cool on helping us - first timer to PD.
