Owner description: An ancient grove of cedars, the oldest in Lebanon, makes a beautiful site.
Reviewed March 19, 2012

I came to the cedars in my 2010 trip to Lebanon. The month was June and it was beautiful out. The trees are unlike any tree I'd ever seen. So unique and breathtaking. The walking paths were nice and the scenery was great. It's a great little hike and worth the long drive. We even stopped to get
jams, honeys and other cooking supplies at the little souvenir shop. Yay for the Cedars in Liban!

While only a small area, and somewhat disheartening to hear of the threats to the Cedars of Lebanon, the paths here give you a great trail by some magnificent and ancient cedars.
The sculpting work of an artist using some trees is mesmerising; a great work.

the size of the trees is very impressive you can only stand amazed by the size of each tree and as the guide informed us some trees are aged 3000 to 4000 years.
the one shaped as the christ is amazing.
the place though could be much cleaner.
for a small donation a small cedar is planted by your name next to the big ones... in 3000 years it will grow up to match the others :P

Close to the Bcharre (about 5km) one can found a small forest full of cedars. The area is pretty small (around one square kilometer). You have to donate the foundation caring for that place. The cedar tree is quite nice and it look like a Christmas tree without any decoration. This is unique place as most of the trees were cut long time ago. There are new trees planted but that kind of tree grow slowly and it take ages to reach maturity. Close to that forest there is a ski resort. And you can see all the ski lifts from there.
