My husband and I spent New Years eve at Lions Bluff Lodge last year. We were accommodated at the last minute, and were welcomed by the owners, and of course a drink, upon arrival. The lodge sits high upon a bluff and the view is nothing short of spectacular. The private cabins are nestled on top of the bluff and have wonderful balconies to take in the view, and of course watch the sunset over Mount Kilimajaro. We had a superb New Years evening meal consisting of several courses, and the brunch in the bush the next day was wonderful. What better way to spend New Years day? We love Lion's Bluff and will be returning again this year.

My stay at Lion's Bluff was incredible! The game drivers have amazing local knowledge and the amount of wildlife we saw was outstanding! We were very lucky but could NOT have done it without their brilliant knowledge of the park and area around the lodge. The food was delicious and standards of service exceeded expectations. Attention to detail is very strong, and I would reccommend the lodge wholeheartedly.

Thank you Ian Lekie and the incredible Lions Bluff team for looking after our friends and family so wonderfully. It was better than we could have possibly imagined. We had heard good reviews from friends but they did not do jsutice to the views, scenery, the wildlife the variety of birdlife or the sheer charm of Lions Bluff. I have been to Kenya more times than one can mention and Lions Bluff is a very special place in Africa. Please keep it small and intimate and your staff are credit to this wonderful small bush lodge.

Simply put this is without doubt the best lodge i have had the pleasure of staying in throughout Kenya. Not only did we get to see a huge array of wildlife on every single one of our game drives but we could come back to this lodge and see it all, all over again from our balconies!! Nestled on top of a hilltop the views looking over tsavo's plains are second to none with ellies munching away below our rooms every night it was spectacular!

Words can't really do this place justice but the food was delicious, the rooms absolutely gorgeous and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. I wouldn't even need to think twice about coming here again so thank you a million times over for making our stay so memorable!
Also credit to the barman who supplied our 18 strong party of 20year olds with delicious drinks!

Room Tip: All the rooms are absolutely beautiful!

We visited Lion's Bluff as part of a beach and safari adventure in Kenya in December 2011. We booked a private safari through www.beach2bushkenya.com and Alex recommended staying here for the duration and we were not disappointed.

The location is amazing and the place is beautifully designed, just breath taking. It is all that I could have dreamed of in terms of design and size. Perched up on the bluff the 12 huts have canvas walls and straw roofs and verandas have views across the plains - if you open the doors you can lie in bed and take in the views. Everything is very organic and comfortable. They even put a hot water bottle in your bed before you sleep!

We could see elephants drinking from a watering hole down below our veranda, and caught a glimpse of Kili on the horizon early one morning!

The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely too and I really liked the eco approach and the fact that the community gets something back.

We were there in December so not the greatest time for seeing the cats but it didn't matter.

I don't think another lodge could beat it (unless I won the lottery!). I was nervous about being in a big place, lots of middle ages package holiday people and this was not the case.... small a.
and intimate.

I would love to go back. This place will always have special memories and my first glimpse of Africa!

Thank you Lion's Bluff

What an incredible location with spectacular views. I have been to a few African lodges but this was by far the greatest. Extremely well looked after throughout the whole of our stay for three days. All credit to the team at Lions Bluff who managed our large group of 18 without any problem. It's not every morning you wake up to elephants outside your room. We were so lucky to see the majority of the wildlife in such a short period of time which was all thanks to our very credible guides. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

We spent 3 days at Lion's Bluff Lodge and had the most amazing time. We were really lucky to see so many animals. The staff were great and the guides really knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the lodges themselves were really comfortable, especially with a hot water bottle. Thank you so much for a brilliant time, it was unforgettable.
