The hotel site is located in the midst of the savannah, so you feel being close to animals. The rooms are clean and the food was ok. Next to the fool is small drinkin hole where you can see zebras and mayby elephants. Next to the hotel is also a dam where you can spot hippos. Value for your money.

Room Tip: In this hotel there a few suites which are in fact luxury tents. You should try them.

We like to greet the whole staff, thank you for making our stay memorable. The place is beautiful and well kept. Public restrooms are probably the cleanest in Africa. There is a nice small pool, and there is a good view to a small lake outside the fence were animals drink and hippos live. The rooms are clean and robust, nothing luxurious but perfectly fine. The food was good. They even have a nurse for smaller emergencies, she did not even charge us. Credit cards are accepted. Recommend strongly for Tsavo East visitors.

Room Tip: We had 218 and a good view to the lake, where we saw drinking elephants. And heard a lion during the...

We were greeted by many zebra and elephant grazing just outside the lodge! The pool is small but good for a refreshing dip and its fantastic to look out from there at the animals. The lodge over looks the large waterhole which had hippos! in the evening you can sit out and listen to the many sounds of the park, we could also see the hippos in the lake under the moonlight. Staff are very friendly, service is excellent, they will do everything to ensure you are comfortable. Food is reasonably good, probably the most basic we had on our trip but it was just fine! there was a wide selection on the buffet; salads, fruit, good veggie options, fresh sauteed veg and lots of curries, dhal, nice steamed rice, european style meat and fish dishes and they also have a grill serving steaks, a pasta bar, they do freshly made eggs/ omelettes for breakfast. A nice airy large bar area too. The room is good, a double bed with a mosquito net - it seemed to keep out any bugs! There was a fan, a safe and lots of power sockets (uk plug) the only complaint was a few mosquitos in the bathroom/ shower, so come prepared with insect repellant. Theres a terrace and you can look out on the park and tge waterhole, bring binoculars! Safari in the park is incredible. We were lucky in the two days in Tsavo we saw everything including cheetah and lions! We left very happy! Thank you Asnil Aruba :o)

We went on safari with JT safaris and this was the first lodge we stayed in. What a perfect start to our safari. Lovely rooms and the staff are very welcoming. The food was excellent and the views of the animals amazing. If you get the chance to go you will not be disappointed.

We travelled to Kenya for our honeymoon and this was our first stop on safari. The camp is in Tsavo National Park so the animals are all around. We arrived as the herd of elephants were walking past the boundary fence - quite a momentous first impression!

The rooms were clean and spacious, with a porch area at the back where you could sit out and watch the wildlife walk past. There was the option of using the swimming pool, we declined and opted for a nap because of the early starts. The drives into the park yielded cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, antelopes and much more.

The staff were attentive and helpful - we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed the food - plenty of choice and plenty to eat.

We would happily return!

This is a nice facility with a very caring staff. The food wasn't necessarily to my liking, but likely due to my poor eating habits.

The tents are nicely appointed and well cared for. There is a pool and a well serviced bar when not out on game drives. We would return to the Ashnil...i

This is not my favorite park in Kenya as the safari vehicles are restricted to roads that are not laid out well to allow for good game viewing. One thing I can say is that the elephant herds are quite wonderful and prevalent throughout the park. Its the lack of other animals - predators in particular - that make this a less preferred reserve to visit.

In the middle of savanna we found something beautiful. Staff are friendly, food excellent, animals beautiful. We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, varan, turtle, lions, buffalo and many other animals. Rooms are huge, very clean with beautiful view from the terrace.
