Hospitality in a truely passionate manner is displaced by Khaled and his friends. Loved every minute of it, but most memorable was to sleep under a blanket of stars. So impressive that we hardly slept.. Facilities are basic but fine, food tastefull. You know, in the end probably all bedoein guides take pride in showing you around the wonderfull scenery, but having knowledgable and fun people to be with is garanteed if Khaled is yours.

A friend of mine advised me to go to Rumshines, and even though she had told me how good it was, still I was over the moon (and further)! I spent a day at the camp, with my two teenagers, and as we left the next day, they thanked me for having brought them to this place (I brought them to many amazing places around the world, but actually never thanked me for it!). What we appreciated most was the friendly, family-like hospitality, watching the sunset from a dune, waking up in the middle of the desert (the tents are extremely cosy), the food, and both Khaled and his brother Salem are perfect at making your stay a memorable one! I ll go back!

AWESOME!!! If you're looking for a bedouin camp in the Wadi Rum desert, I can highly recommend Rumshines camp. The location is awesome with this big red rock behind it and because the camp is not on the main jeep-tour trails it is nice and quiet there and you have a very unspoiled and wide view over the Wadi Rum desert. And you can see the sunset from the camp! The camp itself is very wel set up, clean and the atmosphere at night is truely magical...I felt like I ended up in a fairytale, with the candles, the stars, the bedouin music and the fantastic meal they prepared in the most amazing way by heating it under the ground...bedouin style :)...Khaled and his team are the most hospitable hosts you could wish for and they really go out of their way to give you an experience of a lifetime! You can absolutely feel that they love the place and the bedouin life. I really hope i'll be back there one day...thanx so much guys!

Rumshines is located in an absolutely beautiful area of the desert. The views at sunset and sunrise are both amazing, and it is one of the most incredible experiences to fall asleep under the stars, though of course the tents are also cozy for those who want to sleep inside! Mohammed is a fantastic cook so youre sure to have deliscious meals and endless cups of the sweet bedouin tea while youre at the camp and the entire team is accomdating, friendly and extremely helpful. I would absolutely recommend the experience to anyone, whether you can only stay for a night or want to explore for a week or more. There's always plenty to do and see and you absolutely wont regret it!

Room Tip: If the weather's just grab a mattress and sleep under the stars, the experience is unforgettable!

On a recent trip to Jordan i spent 2 nights at Rumshines in Wadi Rum. All I can say is it was the absolute highlight of the trip. It was a magical place- you really learn to appreciate the beauty of the desert- in the day the colours, the history & natural wonders, and in the evening the the stars and the amazing silence and tranquility.

The facilities are basic, but just make you realise how much you don't NEED all the distractions we usually take for granted (electricity, internet, tv) - and you appreciate how little to need to enjoy yourself more than you thought you could. I won't ever forget it. Many thanks to Khaled and his crew.
