Wadi Rum Lovers Camp
Ranked #27 of 138 Specialty Lodging in Wadi Rum
Reviewed June 7, 2013

I went to Wadi Rum with some relatives, I was looking for a host, I found a friend..
At first, I was very suspicious that it will be a good experience, I knew I will not go to Wadi Rum again for a long time, but I took the risk and booked with Lovers Camp.. I never regret it.. If i go back 100 times there I'll always chose Lovers camp..
Hlayyel, was the bedeweyen guy with us, he was born and raised in the desert, so you will not find better than him (or one of his many many many brothers).. He took us for a drive in a Jeep, he was very flexible, he knows where to take a picture, he gave us space, yet made some very funny jokes at the right time.. It was simply perfect..
After the jeep tour, we went to the camp.. the sunset there is not the best, but is still very special.. we walked for 5 minutes away from the camp and climbed a small mountain, the view of the sunset there was good..
Dinner, and breakfast were really good.. simple, but served in a nice way..

All in all, it was a lifetime experience! I recommend this place.. many other places have DJ and small parties at their camps, but if you are going to the desert, do you really need a DJ? In Lovers camp you can experience the desert.

P.S. For sure there is no swimming pool of fitness center, I rated them by mistake, and wouldnt go away

Room Tip: they are all the same, just close the doors well if you sleep, if you want to sleep outside you can...

We went to Wadi Rum without any planning or time, and we have found Salem that has been a perfect guide for the desert..with his 4WD.
He took us to the best part of the Wadi site and absolutely fulfilled all our needs.
He managed to show us all the most interesting sites giving us a perfect desert experience.

I recommend to everyone that plans to go to Wadi Rum to contact Hlyel Salem because he is the best.

Ciao From Italy

We booked the one day jeep tour for two persons. It was 50 JD per person and had an awesome time. Hylel picked us up at the Wadi Rum Village and brought us to several nice outlooks and sights (Sand Dunes to climb, Rock formations, Canyons, Jeep Driving, Lunch in a small beduin tent, Sunset in teh Desert). Than he brought us to a camp were we had dinner and spend the night. We were brough back to the village the next morning around 9.
Lunch, water, dinner, accomodation was all included in the price.
The camp is nice and clean, the dinner was good and the tents are cozy. It is located under a giant wall of rock which gives the spot a special atmosphere.
Hylel, our guide, 21 years old, is a really nic e guy. He is really communicative and loves to sing and make jokes. One can see that he has fun showing his guests around and making them having a good time. He actually became my personal hero when he repaired my digital camera which had sand inside...!

I will definitely do this again! :)
