We stayed at Ali's house and camp for the last 2 weeks. We had a great time, great food and a lot of fun. The camp is not too big which is a real plus. You really get to experience the desert in the best conditions.
Visit Jordan ! It is totally safe and Jordan people are really friendly and welcoming.

I actually stayed at the Sun Rise Camp back in March 2012. It was an incredible experience and I highly recommend this camp to anyone who makes the trip out to Jordan.
Ali is a great host!!!! The camp is humble and quaint and truly gives an authentic experience. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable and the food was delicious.

Thank you very much for the nice words.

Authenticity is part of our lives since we were raised as bedouins and parents were always living in the desert.

Even with modern developments, we still kept the same routine and you can trust us that you will never be disappointed.

We wish the best for you all and remember Sunrise camp is like a home for you.

You're always welcome

My friend and I spent one day and one night in Wadi Rum and we had an amazing time. At the time my friend was pregnant and she was a bit worried to go on a trip through the desert. Ali Hamad was a wonderful guide. He showed us all the nooks and crannies of the desert and was very careful to our needs and interests. He is a great guide, very entertaining and dedicated and he knows a lot. His camp is beautiful. The food is delicious and the facilities are clean and well looked after. I would love to go back and spend more time surrounded by all the beauty the desert and its inhabitants offer.

Hello again,

That was a new experience for us having a pregnant lady who wanted to visit wadi rum.

Praise to God, everything went well and all we happy.

If the baby was born in the desert then we would have called him a Bedouin.

Hope to see you and the baby again

Wish you and the baby good health

We were advised by a friend to choose Sunrise Camp and we were very happy that we had followed our friend's advice. When we arrived in Rum Village, Ali welcomed us into his house for a nice cup of tea and some biscuits and informed us about what was on the program.
We stayed in Wadi Rum for two days and two nights and had an unforgettable time. They had arranged a "mixed trip" for us, which allowed us to see and feel the most beatiful parts of Wadi Rum, without having the feeling that we were on a race against the clock to see as much as possible. We were accompagnied by Ali's brother, who proved himself to be an excellent guide with a nice sense of humour (and a good singer, too!).
The camp itself was clean, had all the necessary accomodations and the food cooked there was delicious.
Most importantly, the experience was authentic. Ali and his family were raised in the desert, so when you stay at his camp you can see glimps of the real desert life.
Ali himself was even so friendly to take us to Rum Village at half past 5 in the morning so we could catch the bus to Aqaba.
To summarise: Sunrise Camp is magnificent. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Wadi Rum, this is it...

Hello Pieter and Fien

Kaise ho?

Well, we are very happy to hear again from you and you are a very cute couple with Fien speaking Arabic very fluently.

Not forgetting the wonderful excitement when the Princess Najlah Bin Asem of Jordan joined us for a night in the camp.

We hope to see you again for a honeymoon trip :-p

Wish you all the best for your studies and future.

We are happy and you are happy.

Warmest Regards

Ali Hamad Zalabia, family and camp management
