Bedouin Lifestyle Camp
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed December 13, 2012

Two nights became five and a taste from the life of the bedouins became an experience of a lifetime. The five days in Wadi Rum at the Bedouin Lifestyle Camp became unforgettable due to all the effort and kindness of the staff. They threat you as one of them, which why you can really feel how a life in the dessert would be. The music around the campfire at night, the sweet tea at every stop and the flexibility of the program makes this camp really recommendable. You can take as much time as you want, where you want. If you can, definitely stay more then one our two nights, instead of running in and out the dessert without giving your heart a chance to really love it. Take it easy, discover the dessert and let the great people of Bedouin Lifestyle become your friends. (+ really good mattresses and blankets!)

We just had a quick overnight to do some filming in Wadi Rum. Everyone was incredibly helpful and we loved the Bedouin evening with singing. Will definitely look forward to a longer stay next time. Wadi Rum is incredible and even a trip to the bathrooms at 3:00Am is a surreal experience under the moonlit mountains.

I travelled over 60 countries and hundreds of cities all over the world, bedouin lifestyle camp in wadi rum is the first place that i fell in love with! I was about to stay in wadi rum for only one night to watch the night sky and the most extraordinary desert scenery, but the people here In Bedouin lifestyle camp are extremely amazing friendly and taking care of me all the time, which makes me feel like home, so I stayed 3 more extra days here.I lived a life like a Bedouin girl in those 4 days, making fire and cooking tea in the desert, sleeping under the night sky in the desert, clambing the mountain, spending time with the kids and bedouin people in the village, i made friends with everyone, totally fell in love with the desert and the people here, I really don't want to leave this place if it's possible. The owner Attallah is really friendly and hospitality. Unless you are really pushed for time, linger for a few days here, slowing down to the timeless rhythm of desert life, enjoying the night skies and spectacular sunrises and sunsets!

I spend two nights in the camp and took the jeep tour (65 euro, 4 person) and the Um Addami tour 120 euro, one person). The camp was very nice, good location and facitilitys. The staff was good and the food nice. The thing you must know (same for al stays in the dessert) are that the stay will be quite boring if you dont take the tours (thats cast a lote of money). The Jeep tour was quite standard, nothing fore me but takes you around the desserts main sights. The Um Addami tour was really good- The guides on boths of the tours was excellent! I recaomand the camp!

My boyfriend and I spent a night in the desert of Wadi Rum at the amazing and very welcoming camp of Bedouin Lifestyle and love it. We did a lot of research before choosing our camp as we heard so many thing from other tourists. First we were chased by millions of people from Petra to go with their camp and private taxi services but we went our way! We took the regular bus for 5dinar from Petra a bit early but oh well and made it to the village of Wadi Rum to be picked up by a bedouin of Bedouin lifestyle. We went for the 5hours day trip in the desert with jeep ride an AMAZING lunch made by our guide, a few climb up and down the lawrence water source, the natural bridges and a few dunes to then chill in the shade till heading at a great spot to watch the sunset. The tents were great and cosy, they had water, shower and flushable toilet! We had music to entertain at night, the traditional dinner cooked underground and everyone was really nice on our camp. A decent size camp not too comercial or crowded and just simply amazing for stars gazing. I totally recommend it

I spent 2 nights at the camp with a friend. It was a great atmosphere, everyone was very friendly and the food was very good. The whole stay was well organised. On the 2nd day we did a one day camel tour, which is a great way to experience the beautiful desert and its wideness. During the tour a meal was cooked and we had a picknick at a beautiful silent place in the desert. Highly recommended, don´t miss it!

We stayed in the Bedouin LIfestyle Camp for one night and one day for the full day jeep and camel tour. Although people normally start their desert experience in the morning, we arrived in the evening. For the Bedouin Lifestyle Camp it was no problem at all and they did not charge us anything extra which was really great. In the evening we were told we could go and see the sunset, so we started walking in the desert, but didn't really know where to go, so a guide took us to a rock and waited with us till after the (amazing!) sunset. Then we returned to the camp and met the other people that were also staying there for the night. We sat all together around the camp fire, talked, the bedouins made music, we danced, we played games, very cosy and relaxing. We also got a traditional dinner served, delicious! At 10 pm the generator was shut off so we all went to our tents. They were very basic but nothing more was needed, except maybe for an extra blancket as it gets extremely cold at night (and a headlight if you want to use the toilets at night.)
In the morning, a decent breakfast was waiting for us. After that, the tour began. As we happened to be the only two persons that had booked that tour that day, we had a sort of 'private' tour. Our guide Allah was very friendly, very helpful (to take pictures while we were climbing rocks), prepared us a nice lunch and guided us very well through the desert. (Thank you once again!)
In short, we had a great stay at the camp! All basic needs were there and Atallah and his crew did their best to give us a great time in the desert!
