We did one day one night tour. It was really enjoyable. The guide was a very nice teenager, did not speak a lot of English but it was no problem. He showed us all the great places, ran down the dune with us, gave us simple but delicious lunch, It was a good combination of driving around and walking through beautiful canyons. And then in the evening we came to the best camp ever: stylish tents and delicious multy dishes dinner with a friendly chat around the fire! Great experience! Highly recommend!

spent three nights in Wadi Rum, camp is romantic, sleeping in metal framed tents on sprung beds, breakfast is good and varied, evening meal not bad but had chicken every night as it was cooked in a hole in the ground. We did three trips there, a jeep safari that was very good, a hike up Jabel Al Hash that was fabulous with views over Saudi Arabia and a camel ride that was agony!, we have riden camels before in India but the sadles in Jordan take some getting used to, like years!. Toilet facilities are basic and I mean basic.

My two friends and I recently visited Wadi Rum and booked a bedouin-guided one day/two night tour. We booked with Rum Stars Company, and had an amazing time. The beauty of Wadi Rum is amazing on its own, but when you combine it with the hospitality of Ahmed and his friends and family, the whole experience becomes exceptional. We would recommend this trip to anyone.

Their camp is quite comfortable, with running water for toilets and showers (take a shower at the end of the day, not in the morning, as the sun is what warms the water). The food is great, the tea is plentiful, and the conversation by the fire is always engaging.

If you want to see all that you possibly can in Wadi Rum, I would strongly recommend booking a jeep tour and at least one night stay. We passed many travelers who were hiking the desert, and it seemed the only thing they were looking for was water. Not exactly the best way to enjoy the beauty of Wadi Rum. Booking with Rum Stars was a great decision in our opinion.

I was in the Wadi Rum for work purposes (I'm lucky), and we stayed with 3 of my collegues at the Rum stars for 3 nights and travelled for 5 days with Salim (a local bedouin). I travelled a lot, espacially all over Europe and I rarely found the level of excellence found at the rum stars...
1/ the camp is clean, u'll find sanitary perfeclty cleaned.
2/ the food is excellent and abundant. Trully traditional
3/ tons of banquets are provided for the tents and the beds are comfortable
4/ U're located in a calm and isolated part of the Wadi Rum
5/ The Bedouins are extremely friendly and take care of you. They serve tea any time (morning, evening and even in the lunch time !!). We stayed for a whole week with Salim who was our driver / translator / tea man and above everything a real friend !
6/ I honestly do not find any bad points. If u need to plug small devices batteries for camera) u can plan with the guys to use a plug during the diner for example.
7/ I feared I was going in a tourist factory with animations and same discussions days after days, and I was surpirsed to see that each evening is different !! The guys sing splendid traditional songs and u'll see their faces illumanitaed and transformed when they sing and dance. They are proud of their culture and share it with u without faking at all.

I warmly recommend this adress for the quality of the service.

I just came back from Wadi rum and i want to recomand you Bedouin Adventures.
Ahmed the CEO is a professionnal Bedouin guide and offers different activities in the desert. His website is www.bedouinadventures.com. All the details are in the website to contact him.
During my trip Ahmed and his guides offered me jeep tour, hiking and scambling into this beautiful desert !
I also made camel ride during few hours and it was a great experience !
I slept under the stars and it was so great !
They also have a campsite (typical bedouin camp) inside the protected area which provide good tents, and great food ! I've never eat such a good chicken cooked under the sand !!
This experience in this desert was one of my best experience in all the trips i made.
If you want to go to Wadi rum, call Bedouin Adventures ! They are flexible and very professional !

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
About our Guides: We assure you our guides are the best available in Wadi Rum. They are all English-speaking, very professional, and have a lifetime of experience in and around Wadi Rum, as they have been living here their entire lives. They are fun, friendly, very knowledgeable about the history and factual information about the desert, and excellent entertainers! About our Campsite: Our camp is located 10km from Rum Village, INSIDE THE WADI RUM PROTECTED AREA. Many larger or commercial camps in Wadi Rum are located OUTSIDE the protected area, however we are fortunate to have the advantage of being inside. We are fully licensed, fully accredited, and fully LOVE our desert and love sharing it with visitors. The camp can easily accommodate your guests with comfort-- we have modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, sit-down toilets, running water and electricity for lights. Our tents are furnished with rugs and beds and plush desert bedding. We have made sure that the camp is as comfortable, welcoming, convenient, and most of all ENJOYABLE as possible. The camp itself is beautiful: we have a large outdoor stone seating area complete with tables decorated with mosaics of desert rock, as well as a main "living room" style tent at the center of our camp where everyone gathers on cushions and carpets and padded seating to eat, drink tea, enjoy the campfire, listen to Bedouin music, and engage in lively discussion. Many guests during the warm spring and summer months opt to sleep outside of the tents under the stars, and we have a large area for this purpose as well. About the Food / Dinner: we will prepare Bedouin food for the main dish, where we will cook Zarb, a dish cooked in the earth, with some vegetables, rice, and various salads, all served in a buffet style. Lunch: we offer our guests a picnic lunchbox during the tour. Breakfast: will be an open buffet of different breakfast foods with coffee & tea. Drinks: drinking water and soft drinks will be always available in the camp and during the trip and is include the price. We will provide private tents for your group at our campsite which are prepared with beds and all sleeping equipment (pillows, blankets, bedding). All meals (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner) + Drinking Water + Tea + Coffee are included in your tour. We will take care of everything that may you need in the desert, but suggest our visitors bring the following personal items which may make their experience here in Wadi Rum more comfortable: * Good shoes for walking, hiking, and scrambling (boots are preferable) and if possible, sandals, which are more comfortable for walking in the sand. * Headlamp/Flashlight/Torch: you will need it for the night time. * Sun cream: to protect yourself from the sun.. * Small Bag: to carry your camera and water. We don't ask for deposits (too complicated!) and are not set up to take credit cards, but would ask for payment in Jordanian Dinars when you are here. The price does not include the entrance fee to the Wadi Rum Protected Area which is 5JD per person (paid at the Wadi Rum Visitors Centre). Please note: there are no ATMs or banks in Wadi Rum. Please arrange to bring enough JD to cover all costs! We look forward to welcoming you to the Wadi Rum and sharing the life of the Bedouin with you!! ... more   less
