“Great 'night in desert' experience for solo female travellor”
Reviewed April 1, 2012

Even as a single female travellor, I had a fantastic visit to Wadi Rum and stay at the Full Moon Camp, made possible by Tyseer. I was a bit apprehensive about spending a night alone in a camp in the desert, but he made me feel very comfortable..

I experienced all the beautiful sights of Wadi Rum , did a bit of climbing, helped Tyseer capture a venomous snake (a very rare sight - we're lucky he spotted it at all), met other fellow travellors in other camps, had a fantastic Bedouin meal, watched one of the best sunsets I've ever seen and slept comfortably in a lovely camp.

Tyseer is very friendly and ready to talk about his experiences as a Bedouin, his time spent studying in Dubai and then building a tourist business and lots of other interesting stories.

The only thing that disappointed me (Cleanliness 4) was the condition of the washrooms - they were very dirty, and the flush was not working the nigth I was there.

Other than that small detail, I would strongly recommend going with Tyseer and staying at the Full Moon Camp if you are visiting Wadi Rum!

The thing that makes the Full Moon Camp lovely is Tyseer and his family. They are so friendly and accommodating. On our first night there we arrived very late due to a transport problem and had not been able to contact them (due to a problem with our phone). Tyseer was so friendly considering what a pain we had been, even arranged for us to have dinner with his family and stay in their house for the night before we headed to the camp the next day. We were sure we'd end up sleeping at the visitors centre, so Tyseer completely saved us! The next day we did a camel ride and a jeep tour and stayed at the camp. We did not stay at their usual camp as it is bring renovated, but the one they arranged for us was lovely. Tyseer is very clear about costs and options, and you don't feel pressured at all. We did a bit of sandboarding on our trip which was lots of fun. Overall we would definitely recommend this place.

The thing that makes Wadi Rum experience so special with Tyseer and his Wadi Rum Full Moon Camp is soul and genuine spirit of the place and people who live there you will get. You will not feel only like a tourist, Tyseer will pay attention to your personal needs and tell you many interesting stories about life there, and how is it to be a bedouin, especially in terms of all the changes that happened to that culture. In few words: with great treatment and amazing sights and adventorous trips you will go home with a smile and a wish to come back again one time!

A friend of mine and I stayed with Tyseer and his brother 2 full days out in the desert!! It was one of the most impressive experiences of our whole trip, I'm sure I will think of it for a long long time! Living in the desert, sharing their beautiful beduine life, having a glimpse of the freedom beduines live in.... and being able to reflect about all our impressions with Tyseer and his brother were unique, I'm sure not every beduine tour guide would have been that open to discuss even a bit delicate topics with us...
They were very hospitable and welcoming, just like beduines are, they offered us tea and interest for our lifes from the very first minuite on.
Regarding the schedule and our ideas, they were very flexible and accomodating and we planned our trip together, including their advices and our wishes and the result was worth it!

I can simply recommend the Wadi Rum Full Moon Camp,
and I'm already envying you when you go there :)
Enjoy Wadi Rum and say greetings to Tyseer from me,
Britta

I truly recommend the services offered by Tyseer and his bro Abdo&Yaser whether you choose a day trip and or an overnight stay. They are very welcoming (as all the real Bedouins way of welcoming). They have much first hand knowledge of the area and are great guides.

I truly recommend Tyseer and or his brothers who will make your experience an unforgettable one for all the right reasons :-)

Tyseer is a unique character, was interesting to meet him and we had long and interesting discussion about religion, poetry and life. He was very friendly, interesting and intelligent host in our memorable Jordanian journey. Thanks a lot. Gabor

we chose this campsite out of many offered in wadi-rum and made arrangements directly with Tyseer, the owner. had the best time indeed! driving all around the desert all day, having seen all the major sites, making short breaks for hot sweet arabic tea in the desert tents, finished up watching the sunset in the camping. being offered an option of sleeping in the tent or outside, i strongly recommend the latest guys! Tyseer and his brothers were always there for anything so really we only had to care about the shooting stars and the moon. overall truly unforgettable experience for those active and ready for some lack of luxury comforts, but looking for something different from what you usually get in most of the regular vacation destinations!
