Visited Bedouin Directions last April enjoying the Sandstorm jeep tour and an overnight stay. Unfortunately we did not have more time in April... therefore in October came back for a 3 night stay and booked: 1 day hiking, 1 day camel, 1 day jeep tour. Well in practice we did not stick to this plan at all and this was no problem at all for Bedouin Directions. This visit we even experienced the real bedouin life, visited a very happy couple living in the desert, still in a tent..., besides a tea, we even had a dinner with them. Sorry Bedouin Directions... your Zarb dinner is very delicious and a great experience too....
After dinner we loved the bedouin dances, in particular the Ha-Hia dance, I believe the oldest Bedouin dance danced by the men.
Pity we did not have a proper sunset in Wadi Rum. Back in April there was a sandstorm (cause we choose the 'Sandstorm jeep tour'?), this time we even had a bit of rain, thunder and the sky was not clear at the time of the sunset... Let's see when we can be back.. as we have to be back again... once again we have to admit this place is magic. The best place to be..
Tip: If you wake up early go up yourself on the rocks near the camp to see the sunrise...
Bedouin Directions is not commercial a huge camp, no electricity, not situated in the area where most camps are, it is surrounded by rocks which makes the stargazing even more special. According to me: the best direction to go in Wadi Rum is Bedouin Directions
