“One of the most beautiful places in Israel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

Ein Avdat is a unique and beautiful national park, one of the most amazing ones in Israel. It's about 2-3 hours of walk. Amazing views and scenery. Recommended to everyone in the area!
In the summer could be a bit hot.

“Incredible national park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

This National Park with free entrance has some absolutely beautiful trails to walk. Clearly marked and not too busy. It's easy to take a bus/hitch here from Mitzpe Ramon and most certainly worth it.

“Amazing national park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2014 via mobile

Great national park. Make sure you enter at the place where the Ben Gurion Memorial is, the other entrance is basically an exit. The park has some very nice (and easy) routes to walk. You need about 2,5 hours for the short route if you're planning on taking some pictures and relaxing. We liked how clean the park is and how it all seems very natural: there are no fences or anything. Beware that the entrances close at 4. We wanted to have a quick peek at the pool at the exit, but weren't allowed in at 4.30. The people at the exit weren't very kind ("no we're closed, so bye bye!"), the lady at the entrance was.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

Our best desert/canyon/Israel experience during our entire trip. Highest recommendation, the track through the valley is also great to do with kids. It's a good idea to come early (the site opens at 8 and is open even during Sabat and hollidays) since it tends to be quite hot in the desert, but the canyon itself gets a lot of shade and the water fall cools the place down so Ein Avdat is a heaven in compare with the desert around. There are two ways to do the trip, either you decide to do 2-3 hour trip which ends in the middle of the canyon and then you have to turn back and go the whole way back, or you decide to go through the whole canyon which means you won't be able to come back through the same way (safety reasons) and you'll have to find your own way to get back to your car. There is a big parking lot at the other side of the canyon and you'll be probably able to easily find someone who'll take you back.

“Just wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014

One of the most beautiful natural parks in Israel.
First surprise - running water and a small waterfall in the middle of the desert.
A beautiful path inside a picteresque canyon, alon a small stream.
And finally - a rather difficult but exhilirating climb, using ladders, to reach a beautiful observation point.
As we had a 5 year old, half of our group took the shorter route (i.e. without the climb at the end). The other half climbed the trail and waited about 25 minutes for the first group to pick them up with the car.
All in all - a very enjoyable few hours. Don't miss!
