We just spent a fabulous weekend touring Mitzpe Ramon and had a lovely time staying at the Ramon Suites Hotel. A member of the "Smart" hotel chain, it provided us with a spacious suite, walking distance to the AMAZING view of the Ramon Crater. Traveling with children is never easy, especially 3 and our rooms accommodated us very well. We opted for 1 two bedroom suite for our family and a 1 bedroom suite for my mother in law that was directly above our suite. The hotel features a hearty breakfast buffet and indoor swimming pool (that we hope to use the next time we come!) One of the things that most impressed me about the hotel were the friendly, English-speaking staff and the phone call I received the day before our arrival. Since we were going to arrive on Shabbat and they were concerned that there would not be many options for dining that Friday evening, the hotel provided (for an additional cost) the option to dine in. The meal was absolutely delicious with options for beef, chicken, fish and a hearty lentil soup…something for everyone. I was really impressed with this option and it certainly made everything easy for us when we arrived that evening. Based on the proximity to the sites and the clean, spacious room, I would recommend this as a wonderful family friendly hotel for your next visit to Mitzpe Ramon!
