These towers are just outside of town and are not silent at all with the traffic zooming by. There was garbage littered around and it didn't feel anything like a holy place but it was interesting to learn about the history of the place and you can walk up the mountains to see the view and the temple/burial chambers.

It is a thriller and nice historical site.
You can be familiar with the ancient Zoroastrian tradition. Zoroastrians believed in the sacredness of earth, fire and water and In old years their dead bodies were not buried in the ground to prevent ground contamination. They had put dead bodies in this place (known as the Tower of Silence or cellar) to be broken up by birds

It is a very interesting experience to visit a silence tower. There are very few a tourist can go. Don't miss it. Although is very simple the environment is mystical.

In my opinion it is the first place that I recommend to visit.
It is amazing place and a funeral and burial place for Zoroastrians.
According to a tradition custom, bodies were placed on the towers. The relative were not allowed to climb the hill and must stay at the foot of the hill.
if you have problem in yor feet I don’t recommend you to go there. You have to climb hill and in some how it is difficalt for old people.best time for going there is before the noon.
