This museum houses countless historical pieces from the region. Of particular note are the bronze and pottery artifacts that date from 5000 BC and an extensive collection of Islamic books and manuscripts. On the second floor, visitors can views traditional costumes from throughout Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan. BUT the highlight for me was the impressive and eclectic collection of metal sculptures by Ahad Hosseini in the basement. The building and museum is showing its age and could use some TLC and modernization.
