It's basically a group of shops selling very similar & somewhat predictable souvenir items.

There are a couple of grocery stores too there for any essentials you may need.

It's not a place for hours on end shopping. Best way to get there is as part of a day tour (ask if Pasar Oleh Oleh is included in it). That way you already paid to get to it & you have a tour guide waiting to take you out of there when you have finished (1/2 hour was ample).

Not sure if this happened to anyone else...my tour got me there after 5:00pm, some of the shopkeepers were offering up to 30% discount on items without any prompting. Is this common practice late in the day?

Pasar Oleh-Oleh was such a let down. Totally contrived tourist area with boring and predictable shops (and even then, there weren't that many!). 20 minutes well and truly saw everything - including Pujasera - and then we simply waited an hour for the shuttle bus back to the resort. Not anything like the markets of Phuket, Penang, Chinatown etc.
The only reason to visit Pasar Oleh-Oleh is to tee up a car and driver for the day... at a far cheaper price than offered at the resorts.

There is nothing to see or do. The people are just hanging around, some hassle you. It's a real dump.

During our stay in Angsana we realised that we had run out of baby diapers. So we made a trip to Pasar Ole Ole to buy some. Luckily we found what we wanted in a grocery store there.
Likes: One can buy various stuff for a fraction of the price in this market place, compared to the price at which it is sold in the resorts (e.g. beer, liquor, snacks, spa services, etc.). There were a few restaurants selling local food as well. Some of them even offer free to-and-fro taxi if you call them in advance.
Dislikes: There was no decent bathroom anywhere (did not check in Spas though). The local food hygiene is like what you get in street food shops anywhere else. The resorts charge a fee for shuttle service to go to this place and shuttle service is only available at specific times, that was a bit annoying.

It is rather expensive but the restaurants provide a nice ambience for an evening meal. Some even has singers and performers.
