The Lake Batur is just by the side of the Mount Batur Volcano. It was really beautiful. We did not go near the lake, But we saw that there were small houses near the lake.

Lake Batur is a crater lake/caldera located in north-eastern Bali, is a very popular attraction and revered by the Balinese Hindu population. There are excellent lookouts near Kintamani that have excellent views of the lake. Visit and enjoy !

Our driver took us to a viewing platform near the restaurant and down a beaten path. Beautiful views at both, I really recommend coming to have a look even on a cloudy day.

We could see the lake from where our hotspring baths were located and the views didn't disappoint. Overall the lake was worth visiting for a other occasion but the hotspring is not recommended having very poor facilities. Perhaps another planned trip of this area for another occasion would be warranted.

We were lakeside in the beautiful Toya Devasya Hotel and looking down on the lake from above at the top of Mount Batur, stunning views.

The lake is so pretty surrounded by mountains well worth the trip around the area to see it. Roads are very whindy though and steep
