“Excellent view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

We were on a day trip and at the end we reached the top of the mountin. It was really something to see. Astonish view to the volcano mountain (the top was unfortunately in a cloud) and a valley with a beautifull lake in the middle. Vau!! Don't take a meal in the restaurant at the end, their food is nothing special. They've got a buffet offer, but when we came almost everything gone but we pay the whole price anyway.
I reccomend this trip.

“To be appreciated with Mt Batur and Kintamani”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

The Batur area is one huge place to be appreciated as a package. The volcano, the caldera rim, the temples, the villages and of course the crater lake. If you could get a motorbike to get around the vast area, it will give you more angles to appreciate the scenic beauty. Check out the towns that lined round the summit of the caldera rim, the rustic villages at the caldera base, the temples and the lava fields.

Need time to appreciate the beautiful landscape.

“Goergous Landscape... but check the Weather First”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

The lake is truly beautiful, and the green landscape and the volcano next to it just adds up to the scenery... However, since the region is high up, the Mount Batur next to the lake is shy and likes to hide behind deep grey clouds, so you really want to check the weather forecast before intending to enjoy the scene, the weather is likely to be overcast.. This was my case, and it spoiled the enjoyment of the view a bit, but still worth it, naturally.

Bali’s largest lake! to have the best view its recommended to see the weather forecast and drive up the mountain for some panoramic shots.
