“Say NO to this coffee”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

This is just another 'cage bears for their bile' scheme where the rich make money from the poor and where animals are treated cruelly. Companies in this market who source their beans from the wild are just encouraging another abhorrent market.

I drink coffee but this is just unnecessary and ridiculous!

Please don't buy this coffee.

“An apawling practice!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

What gives humans the right and the audacity to think that just because they like the taste of a completely needless thing to mistreat and imprision an animal and besides that, as if it was a great accomplieshment, sell the product of terror for an exobitant price! And the tasters? , Who do you think you are? Feeling important just because you have the money to pay? Feeling better about yourselves because you have a very fine palat? Drinking something that comes from some animals feces? Proud???? And what about working on your humanity? You´re even worst than the farmers, because you buy what they sell perpetuating suffering and terror. GET A GRIP ON YOURSELVES AND THINK ON WHATS REALLY IMPORTANT!

“Lukaw Coffee Drinker”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Really loved the experience but coffee has gone up to 60,000.00 IDR now . We couldn't see the possum like animals as they were sleeping a bit disappointing .
We didn't get a chance to see how coffee is made.
All we saw was them roasting the coffee.
Lovely setting nice and relaxing and friendly people.

“'Poo' Coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

we spent approximately one hour at this place. the growing and harvesting of many products were shown to us by a friendly knowledgable guide. Among the displays they showed us how they gathered, cleaned and processed 'poo' coffee from civet droppings including the roasting and grinding. we then had some samples of tea, coffee and chocolate before having the opportunity to purchase some of these delicious products. A very compact and informative tour.

“Very interesting place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Really enjoyed this place. It is a lovely setting, very tropical and lush, with herbs and plants in abundance. Lots to see and the staff were lovely.

We loved all the sample teas and coffees, particularly the civet cat or "poo" coffee, it is really something. You can see some civet cats to get an idea of the creature - they do roam free on the plantation which made our 10 year old member innocently exclaim "they're free range cats then". This place inspired Rick Stein to visit and taste the civet cat coffee which he said is the world's best. He isn't far wrong.
