“Nice break from HCMC”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

I liked the bed, memory foam pillow and linens. The bathroom was sort of beat-up. Not fully on ratty, but not spic and span. The room was quite clean. Mini-bar is VERY REASONABLY PRICED! Bags of chips / crisps for about 8,000 VND and cold cans of Heineken for 25,000 VND was great to have available. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which caters to the Asian crowd (particularly Vietnamese and Chinese). There was an omlette chef, soups, fresh fruit, toast and jam, noodles, fried rice, and other stuff I'd consider dinner. Coffee was drinkable (but not good). Service was quietly attentive at the breakfast buffet and front desk. They confirmed schedule and booked hydrofoil tickets back to HCMC for us at no additional charge (whereas HCMC hotel tacked on service fee for booking). I'll probably stay there again! OH: If you like seafood, check out the night restaurants on the beach in front of Green Hotel... watch the waves and get FRESH food CHEAP!

Room Tip: Many third floor rooms are directly above breakfast buffet... avoid those if you're not an early...

Smile it means a lot and its free ..... you don't get it at Sammy hotel ..... Unless you are with a bus tour company or from japan ,china don't bother communication very bad ... Our fridge did not work took 2 hour to replace then tried to charge for ice so we could have a cold drink ... Only good thing about it was the toilet paper .... No would not recommend it at all

Room Tip: Don't stay

the service was okay but the room were in bad shape. the interior wall and ceiling was dirty . the bed was really hard to sleep in and i didn't mind having my wife and i staying on the eight floor but thier was no more than a hand full of customer that day checking in. and last but not least the morning breakfast buffet was horrible. Assuming thier wasn't enough customer to have a full buffet course meal instead they gave us a menu of out choice either noodles or ramon. i wouldn't come back at all and if you decided to be prepare to regret it.

We came here during our summer vacation. We came up with this one as many of our friends recommended it. The rooms here are quite nice, good facilities, rather new, compared to those in the area. usually, hotels at the beach are usually smelly, but this one is not. It's rather clean inside out. The swimming pool is big, with area for kids. It's never crowded. The lifeguard works really hard and efficiently to maintain guests' safety. One good feature of this hotel is that it is located right next to Imperial Plaza, the biggest and only shopping mall in Vungtau. Access to the beach is also easy. The beach here, which is Bien Dong, is so good, clean, and safe. It's much better than the other area of Vung Tau.
The hotel also provides other services such as restautants, bars, spas, shops,... The restaurant is reasonbly charged, much cheaper than the outside ones. The food meets our taste and we didnt have to wait for so long although we hadn't booked in advance. The people are friendly and courteous, but people at front desk don't smile as much as they are supposed to.
One thing that we didn't satisfy with the hotel is breakfast buffet. We were excited to try it, but we were disappointed. there was not many choices and they are not well- prepared. It doesnt meet the standard of such a hotel. We could have spent money on another hotel's buffet, which is Son Thinh, for more and better choices.
Overall. there was not much to complain. It was a good deal.
P/s: one thing to remember. Although the sea-view rooms are charged more than the pool view, it offers no real view of the beach because the direct view is the street, not the beach opposite. and the windows are locked, so no summer breeze for us. Just try the pool view, there s a balcony and the view is much nicer.

Room Tip: pool view rooms are much better

Stayed here the first week it opened in June 1996. Nothing has changed, service poor, rooms tatty, ours was a 'mountain view"== windows overlooking half built building. No hairdryer(for wife not me) no tissues, the basic of room furniture. Breakfast average catering to Asian tastes. This place needs a refurbishment. NEVER gain, left after one night to a 5 star hotel at the Front Beach. For $59 AUD a night I expect a lot more than this rubbish. I gladly left and sacrificed the remained of the nights I had paid for.

I went there with my family earlier November 2012. The hotel is great, clean, and reasonable price. I stay there for two nights; I would recommend to book online thru the hote-in-Vietnam.com or Agoda.com or any other website which is will more cheaper than walk in. I pay the the first night at $37 while the second night $42 becoz of it is weekend but this is fine to me.

I like the breakfast which has many food for choice and good food; especially my son he like the pool which is very nice; the hotel located in front of the beach that you can enjoy just back from swim and come to the pool;

Room Tip: if you want to rent a moto or car don't go direct with hotel as it is expensive (almost double p...

Big and clean room.
Situated next to a mall / supermarket in case you want to get supples, and across the road from the beach.
Same food for breakfast everyday.
There's no small tables for 1 or two, only big 10 seater round table.
Sometimes when they have a wedding banquet booked, they will cram everyone into a small function room for breakfast. It can get a bit crowded especially during weekends when the tour groups come in.
Location wise, it's quite far from everywhere but on the plus side you will enjoy the peace.
