The staff are super friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations on where to eat and help us with the transport as well. The room is clean and everything works fine although the tub can’t be used due to the drain not being able to close properly. Besides that everything about my stay there was great.

This establishment would have got top marks other than the smoking issue where the Army and Police stay frequently at this place for meetings and smoke the place out in all areas. Sign in desk, lounge breakfast and other meal areas, lifts etc. Meals were disappointing and expensive when we were charged the extra VAT of 15%. Also in house massages was worse than basic and then they had the hide to pressure you for a bigger tip than you had offered, showers in that area were cold and spa was luke warm. Other than that because of our mid week check in we got an upgraded room and were grateful for a ocean view with balcony. So if you can stand smoking and coughing officer solders this is for you!

The palace is a fairly upmarket hotel in a good location but it does not hit the very good standard in my books. But it's not bad either and if the rate was right I would stay again
Breakfast was ample... WIFI was good ... And the room was spacious and clean although in the bathroom there is a lot mould in the grout. Easily fixed so it indicates bad housekeeping.
We did have problems with the Door key card a few times. The locking system is very old perhaps this the problem.
The pool is good as is the gym. Security is great especially if you have a car or moto and there was a functional ATM in the foyer. A/C was also good .
BUT under no circumstances use the Spa. It looks good and the prices appear good but when you get to the business end of paying the massage person she demands 200% tip and makes it very unpleasant when you refuse to pay. We walked out. Spoils the vibe of the place

The front desk service very professional and concierge helpful and friendly. The room requires an upgrade but kept neat and clean. Breakfast variety has a good choice for both European and Asian visitors. Located close the shoreline and a many restaurants and bars.

Room tip: Get a room with an ocean view and balcony

I stayed here for 5 days and was disappointed. The hotel isn’t as advertised. The staff are a plus. All very nice and accommodating. I can’t fault them.

I can see that this was a four star when it was built in 1979 but it isn’t now. It certainly is over priced for what it is. There is an awful smell in the foyer. I suspect it’s stale cigarettes. The carpets are worn. The wifi is very poor and the room was dated.

The plus is that the pool is quite nice and is a sun trap and the gym is pretty well equipped (relatively). There are a couple of other hotels in Vung Tau at the same price point that are far nicer and modern by comparison. I was just a tad disappointed.
