The way to the top is actually the most brilliant part to me, you can enjoy an overall view from the mountain down to the whole city and a part of the shore. Its such a peaceful place to relax and enjoy exploring the scene from a ideal height. The view from the top is as well awesome.

I stopped here on my short trip to Vung Tau. This was a very awesome site to see. But be warned that it takes a while to climb to the top to get there. There are many sights to see on the way up and benches to rest.
Once you reach the top, take your shoes off and climb the steps and you get the most wonderful views of Vung Tau. There are also shops and food places to get something to drink.
Very relaxing place and a great place to stop by and to collect your thoughts.

If you like to do sport it will be good combination. It is not high mountain but can you imaging if you walk in the afternoon under the hot weather on the top of the mountain it's really crazy. However when u are on the top you can catch the best view of the city. It's value thing to do in Vung Tau

A few of us visited and all but 2 of us made it to the top. Step after step after step in the stinking hot sun but worth it, I was told, for the view from the top. Yes, I was one of the two that didn't make it all the way up.

I would say it's worth a visit if you are in Vung Tau. Just make sure though you take water and stop along the way for a rest as those steps really are a killer.

TIP: The toilets here were not nice (read: smelly, I didn't even make it in the door as I couldn't stomach it) so if you need one go to the public toilets which were very clean and no smell. Once you get back down to the road, turn right and they are just around the bend.

The Jesus statue is a really neat piece of history. The trek up is a difficult one especially in the blazing sun, but it it well worth it. The little park at the top is nice. One thing up there that was unexpected were the two old French naval cannons that are on top next to the statue. Once you are on top got up to the arms of the statue and takes some pictures of Vung Tao's coastline and the South China Sea the views are amazing and worth the effort.
