“Impressive looking hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2014

This is a really nice hotel in a prime location! The hotel's private pool/bar section on the beach alone makes staying here worthwhile. Great food and drink service by the beach side pool! The hotel rooms featured huge bathrooms and even bigger beds! All of the reception staff were extremely friendly. Would highly recommended staying here.

The name implies this is an established hotel like many of its namesakes especially in Asia. But this is not the case, the hotel only opened in 2009.

Service - Very, very friendly and forthcoming, nothing is too much. Service around the pool was a little slow.

Hotel Outside - Well maintained and looked after.

Decor and rooms - Pure Kitsch! They want to exude the feeling of an Imperial / baroque surrounding. But on first sight it is clear it is overdone and cheap Chinese plastic kitsch.

We enjoyed our stay there, it is a good place to come for a break from Saigon over a weekend.

We enjoyed the pool at the beach across the street a lot, also managed by the hotel.

...still cannot get over the fake European paintings in plastic frames while I write this....

The Imperial was recommended by by business colleagues as a superior establishment. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by a resplenditly dressed doorman, to our check out, can only be described as first rate. Service and hospitality were not wanting.

The rooms (I stayed in a delux), were well appointed and retained an old world Renaissance charm. Very comfortable bed, generous size bathrooms (though we had a leaky bathroom door which caused some minor flooding -not to series.

Breakfast was expansive and very good quality, and I understand from other guests that the restuarants on offer are first rate.

Would certainly revisit

Room Tip: Try and get a beach frontage room- beautiful view

The Imperial Hotel at Vung Tau, is located just out of town, good location right opposite the beach with a walk way over the road. It is located on the sight of the old Aussie base 1ALSG during the Vietnam War.

The rooms are excellent with very comfy beds, well appointed rooms, Breakfast has a good selection and other meals are very good.

Give it a go, if you are in Vung Tau.

Room Tip: Beach Front Room

The hotel is located just opposite the main beach so location is very good. The style is interesting, from the moment we stepped in the hotel we had the impression the hotel is very old maybe classic British style, looks very comfortable and luxurious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Chinese restaurant is not bad and makes a good impression although when we came, there was not so many guests. In any way this hotel is beautiful and to recommend
