We arrived around 10am at the Hoa Lu Temples. It was starting to get busy but everything is well spread out. There was even a local school getting a class photo out front. Super Cute! I included a picture of the map of the grounds.
It is a beautiful & well maintained area with a lot of history. It is surrounded by high limestone mountains which help hide them from potential invaders. It is one of the ancient capital Cities of Vietnam that dates back to the 11th century to honour the Emperor Ding Tien Hoang, Queen Xuong Ban Nga & their sons.
We were there for about an hour and 15mins. Personally, I felt rushed. I think 2 hours would be a good amount of time to not feel rushed. Please remember to dress respectfully. Shoulders, stomaches and knees must be covered
