My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon for two nights and this is one of our favorite places we have ever been. This is a huge outdoor style resort with cabana hotel suites spread throughout the property surrounding individual pools. This is all against the backdrop of the sharp limestone mountains that are beautiful. The resort is not far from tourist attractions but is not in a tourist area itself..it is in a local countryside town...so you get a wide array of experiences here...luxury resort, local country life and key tourist attractions. The rooms are wooden and beautiful. We had an outside private patio too with an outdoor shower. You hear a lot of tropical bugs and animals outside when you sleep...for people from the city it is very cool. The restaurant is delicious, lots of local Vietnamese food (I tried goat which was the local specialty but didn't really like it...everything else was delicious). Huge buffet breakfasts included everyday, we ate pho soup each morning with a lot of other good food. Great swimming pools around the resort and a bar at the main pool. The service is A+ everywhere on the resort. As far as activities, first day we rented bikes and rode through the countryside which was really cool. We met people in some of the country towns we rode through and played soccer with them...got to see all the rice farmers and limestone mountains that the region is famous for. We got a couples massage at the hotel then the second day we got a private tour guide with car from the resort and they took us to Nam Cuc, Hoa Lu and Kenh Ga Fishing Village...all much more touristic places but really amazing nature and history. The tour guide also took us to a bar down the street from the resort and we drank with some people from the neighborhood. As for the value, this experience in the US would cost many times more...I thought it was a great value for this type of luxury and we hope to go back as soon as possible!
