After doing a lot of research on hotels in Ninh Binh my wife and I finally spent 4 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed every second of our stay. We were very pleased that we had selected this hotel for our visit to NB. We originally wanted to stay in the older section of the hotel but after seeing a room in the new section we quickly opted for the new section. The room was extremely spacious, had a good a/c and was quiet, in spite of our room facing the street. Staff were very friendly and most helpful and provided most useful information and advice concerning the area and sites to see. We engaged an excellent English speaking guide and his colleague as we rode pylon to all the amazing sites. This was indeed the best way to travel and get to see the amazing beauty that Ninh Binh area has to offer.

Adjacent to the hotel is a friendly café where we mixed with the local people who were anxious to speak English. The café serves tea, coffee, beer and snacks, including BBQ small fish which tasted great.

An excellent breakfast was included in the cost of the room and we also had other meals which were excellent cooked, hot and very tasty. We also arranged our transport from Hanoi thru the hotel and when we next traveled to Cuc Phuong National Park for 3 nights the hotel provided transport as well. The costs of such travel was indeed reasonable.

I can very easily recommend this excellent and friendly hotel for anyone visiting the Ninh Binh area.

This is a small familyhotel close to the centre. Very big and quiet modern rooms. The hotel has a good kitchen . Staff wants to practise their English language.
There is a nice terrace to have a local drink just beside the hotel. There are connections with the Vancouver Hotel at about 300 mtrs in which theij organize good daytrips an more-daytris to the National Parks (homestay, very quiet). We stayed in the ricefields in the neighbourhood of Mai Chau and didn't see any tourists for days!

Room Tip: the most quiet rooms are in the backside of the hotel, but they are also smaller than the ones in th...

I did so much research on our Hotel choice before making our final choice and we are very pleased that we chose this Hotel for our 3 night stay.
We have stayed here for 3 nights in Superior room which included the breakfast and we were very happy with the overall experience of staying here.
It was very clear to us when booking that there was a choice of room rate which was a little more to include the breakfast and well worth it.
The omelet and baguette were very tasty and prepared fresh.
I rate this hotel as follows
Superior room with breakfast
Cleanliness 5/5
Comfort 4/5
Bathroom 4/5
Bed 4/5
Overall appeal 4/5
View2/5
(we had made the informed choice of the cheaper option of room and knew in advance there would not be a great view. However there are 2 very large windows and the feeling is open)
Breakfast 4/5
Transfer from train 5/5
Tours 5/5
This hotel is new so the feeling is very fresh. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The two day trips were by private car and guide and very good value. Both guides were local guys and had a lot of information about each of the places we visited. The lunch was included and very tasty and fresh.
I highly recommend the tours as each place would be very difficult to find by yourself.
Staff speak fair to excellent English so everything is explained very well.
We also had our washing done by the hotel and it was very fair price and nicely folded with a fresh smell.
We would stay here again.
Please email me if you have any questions?

Room Tip: The Superior room does not have the best view but we were only in the room to sleep and suited us fi...

We are Vietnamese guests. We researched online and a friend also recommended Ngoc Anh, so I thought I could pay a bit higher for a nice place. Booked a room in Ngoc Anh 2 for 23$ for a standard double room, breakfast is provided, said in booking.com, Agoda and the website of the hotel itself.

We came back to the hotel after dinner, we met the owner of the hotel, a middle aged lady who usually sit in front of the hotel at night. In the nicest tone of voice, she said, us Vietnamese guests, we are not allowed to have breakfast because breakfast was served only for foreign guests, who are usually scared of street food and will bring more revenue to the hotel.

As I didn't know the old lady was the owner at the moment, I complained to the receptionist, and again, he took us for idiots and told us that we cannot have breakfast because the room was upgraded to Superior (not true, all rooms' pictures and their types are shown in booking.com, we even check other rooms in the hotel in person), price was discounted (not true). When he run out of reasons, he said 'it's just bread and omelet, you have more choices outside of the hotel'.

Ninh Binh is an amazing place and this place only added to that atmosphere. The location is fantastic with a café on either side and across from a (western) chicken restaurant. While I'm sure many B&B's in NB are lovely, this one has such a wonderful and warm atmosphere since it is run by a family. The receptionists and cooks were all smiles and willing to answer any question or fulfill any whim. We decided to do two tours with them. The first was a tour with an Austrian couple who were not staying at the hotel, but heard great things of their tours. We did a bicycle tour of Mt. Mua, Trang Ann Grottoes, Hoa Lu - the best part of the tour was cycling through the countryside and getting history lessons from the guide (also receptionist). He was very personable, funny and knowledgeable; speaking openly about his country and its history, struggles and future. He organized the tour so we went during the less busy times - much appreciated. Day two, we went by car to Bich Dong, Phat Diem Cathedral and Bai Dinh Pagoda. Loved it - highly recommend this hotel and its tour services... (also very cheap - around 20 US dollars a person each day). Our room was huge and had a soft bed (not as hard as others)...

An industrial town that you wouldn't want to spend too long in and the local sights can be done in a full day. A great hotel with really helpful staff. We ate in the hotel's restaurant twice for dinner and enjoyed the food. The suggestions for tours were all done without commission in mind and the staff spoke English really well and were keen to practise with us.

We hired a motorbike from them at a very reasonable price (no haggling necessary). We stayed in their cheaper room which was a few doors down from the main hotel but that was no trouble. Rooms were basic but for a one night stop over it was everything we needed.

Highly recommended.
