This hotel was above our expectations. There were only seven rooms and all of them had a different theme. We stayed in the Japanese style and this was something special. The meal in the evening was outstanding and the view was spectacular
I would have like to have stayed longer as the staff did not speak much english but were very helpful to make your stay an enjoyable one.

This is a lovely little hotel and one of my favourites on our trip around Vietnam. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We had a wonderful roof top breakfast of fresh ingredients. It's in a great location. I would have liked to have taken this hotel around with us as it was a pity we only stayed here one night.

My wife and I stayed here for the second time this time with our grown-up children and we loved it just as much second time around.
They put together suites 6 and 7 for us which gave us three rooms with double beds, a spacious sitting room and two bathrooms - which was just perfect for us.
The Nam Bo is a bit expensive (for the region), but everything about this place is just great - from the really friendly personal service, to the fabulous location just across from the river and near the night market to the roof-top bar overlooking the magnificent new bridge and the life on the river, where you also eat the excellent breakfast, cooked fresh to order to go with the home-baked pastries and breads.

We've also only had great meals in the Nam Bo restaurant, which I will review separately as it seems to be getting a bad press. We haven't eaten in L'Escale, but other guests rated it highly

Definitely one of our favourite hotels in our world travels.

Room Tip: Try for the corner suites directly overlooking the Mekong (8 and 4 I think) if you can get them (we...

Spent 3 nights at Nam Bo in a small suite with a great view of the river and park with the statue of Uncle Ho. Breakfast on the roof was great, fruits, homemade yoghurt, ham and cheese, bread, fresh juice and coffee and on top of that a cooked breakfast as well. Importantly bed was comfortable. Try and book the table on the balcony in the evening cool breeze and treated like royalty. Very central and good location for town and boat tours.

We just loved our short stay at the hotel. We had been given the main Suite, which was fantastic with a nice and quiet bedroom and lots of room for sitting around and enjoying the complementary teas and coffees they offer. The view from the room, and even more from the roof top restaurant, is ample and gazes out over the Mekong river and the newly built bridge, which is lighted at night , and the nice promenade along its banks. Our dinner was just one of the best we ever tasted in our tour of South Vietnam and Cambodia, and very graciously served by the Staff.
I would like to spend an extra word for the young lady at the reception: she smilinlgy led us to our room and ensured we were finely settled in all of our needs after the long day, and went out of her way and beyond her duties just to help us source a certain item we could not leave Can Tho without. We will always be grateful for this.

Everything about the hotel was first class from check-in to check-out.Our suite was spacious and a luxury feel. The roof top terrace is a great place to watch the busy promenade, you could almost be on the cote d'azur.I believe the owner is french and it shows in the quality and variety of the western and asian menu,my rabbit was the best I have eaten anywhere.Sitting in the sunshine having breakfast we were sorry that we only had one night

We stayed in one of the main suites with a view of the river. We had a small bedroom and a very large lounge, complete with desk and a small kitchenette (not a real kitchenette with running water, just a minibar, kettle and tea+coffee). Rooms are on 1st and 3rd floor so don't expect great views. The hotel is very well situated for taking a Mekong delta cruise.

Breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was nice enough but below average when compared to the other half dozen Vietnamese hotels we stayed in (all but one of which had much lower rates than Nam Bo).

There is a restaurant on the ground and second floors that seems to cater mainly to tour groups so it is often packed and noisy, and you get large groups coming in and out of the hotel and using the stairs. Not quite the atmosphere I expected in a "boutique hotel" with rates of upwards of $150 USD.

I know there isn't a lot of choice in Can Tho but you can probably get better value elsewhere.
