This magnificent property is right on the Mekong river and has it's own renovated junk for river tours or just an hour or two on the river in the early evening. Rooms are very well appointed and timber flooring. The building has terrific architecture and colonial style. The restaurant was very good and not expensive like some can be. Watch out for the Mozzies and keep your balcony door shut!

Room Tip: A room that faces the river, upper floor is best.

Fascinating place – the hotel is an attraction in itself. A piece of French colonial architecture, I'm told. In most ways, sympathetically preserved, although the modern sun loungers around the pool spoiled the view a bit. Charmingly worn parquet floor in my bedroom, beautiful tiled floors in public areas, elaborate staircase, dark wooden furniture everywhere. I felt strangely inclined to wear a linen suit and Panama hat, and smoke a cheroot. And I don’t smoke or know what a cheroot is. The hotel doesn’t lack modern amenities though: air conditioning, nice bathroom, nice bed. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Recently stayed 1 night on a trip to the Mekong Delta and unfortunately we were there too shot a time to fully enjoy this hotel. The design is old colonial style with modern amenities. The pool was lovely and the service first rate. Try stayiong at least 2 nights.

Given where we were I was surprised to find such an excellent hotel. As you step in, in front of you are no walls just open space out to the pool and beyond. Staff are excellent plentiful and friendly. Right by the river as others have said with a free boat shuttle to town. We were also picked up right at the hotel jetty for the must do morning trip to see the floating wholesale market. The restaurant had a good menu with good wine choice and when we went down at 8pm it seemed we were on the later side of dinner time but also everyone was inside the air conditioned restaurant. The temperature wasn't too warm in our view so we ate outside on the terrace which was lovely and then a few more joined us. Good meal and very nice ambience. Our room was nice and quiet with a separate lounge with both the lounge and bedroom overlooking the river and not the pool.

Room Tip: We were very happy with ours which overlooked the river rather than the pool. It was a large room wi...

Loved staying here. Got a super room overlooking the pool and the river. It was really spacious and airy. this is a very special hotel, the bar, restaurant and pool area are all just so beautiful. It feel like you've stepped back in time but with all mod cons in place. They have a boat shuttle. - free- which takes you into town. At first being out of town might seem like a minus, but actually, with this little boat it's a bonus - we enjoyed our little trips in and out with the sweet boatman. The staff were attentive without being subservient and everything was done with a smile. Loved it, and couldn't recommend it more. Fantastic! Oh, and the breakfasts were just the best ever!

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the pool, and not next to the karaoke place. We never heard any noise...

This is a lovely charming hotel on the river. I only stayed one night but was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The rooms are large and very clean. The pool is a bit on the small side but a lovely temperature for cooling off after a long day touring. I slept soundly and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. There is a boat which will take you into town with the last sailing back to the hotel at ten pm.
