If u r in Bukhara, this is a must see place. U can have an idea about how the life would have been 400 - 500 years back.
A lot of historical places are there around a central pond.
Dont forget to see 500 years old trees.
There is a nice buffet restaurant just by the pond, which is not expensive.

Opt for the buffet dinner, great value for money, wide choice, and you can eat as much as you wish.

This I presume is an old public watering place for the city, today surrounded with cafes (serving booze too) and restaurants, and shaded by trees. Set amid the old buildings, it really is a very pleasant place to while away some time and get a feel for the ambience - (even if the old men who used to come here to play backgammon are generally these days made to move out of the way for tourists). The food is so-so (like almost everywhere in Uzbekistan), but reclining there with a beer in the evening (trying not to faint in the stifling heat) as bands play live music is really rather fun - trust me!

The Lyab-I-Hauz is a body of water enclosed by the streets and walkways of central Bukhara. It is, apparently, an ancient catchment for water and may be some 100 feet on a side.

It is certainly pleasant to look at and the tiny cafes on its rim are perfect places to relax.

On the other hand, I don't know that it is particularly memorable unless the visitor is in an especially dreamy state of mind.
