This place is old and not very clean, The Food is ok but they have a Cat wondering round the dinning room, Also ok if you dont mind having working girls downstairs in a place called the rose lounge part of the Hotel which a I later found out was full of working Girls.

The worst point is the Water from the hot taps is Brown and dont look under the bed, Also they burn incense in the hall ways to hide the damp smell.

Staff friendly enough

Room tip: Higher floor away from the night life would be good if you want to sleep

Old, worn hotel.
Tiny swimming pool with one advantage - nobody swims there.
Airco not possible to set the right temperature - we almost freezed during the night!
In the hotel surroundings plenty of bars with ladies who are ready to accompany you during the evening.
Breakfast - rather OK but plenty of people, very crowded.

Room is small, beds are terrible and the Karaoke is nearby. Showers are pretty bad and the rooms are not very clean (don't look under the bed!).

Will not stay here again.

The Thong Tarin is the worst place we stayed in while traveling Thailand. While there are not many hotels to choose from in Surin City, I would rather drive on than staying in this hotel. The rooms are depressing and reflect the overall condition of the hotel, there is mold all over in the bathroom and the overall cleanliness of the room is below standards.

A word of advice if you drive to this hotel and enter the destination in your GPS; you end up near a rice field! Enter the main bus station in Surin City and the GPS will get you close to the Thong Tarin. This is a flaw in the navigation software and has nothing to do with the quality (or lack thereof) of the hotel but it might make you arrival less stressful.

This hotel is the best hotel around Surin. At a price of less than TBaht 1000, inclusive of breakfast, is really value for monies. There are two universities that also promote research base on agriculture and environmental protection too. The creative craftmanship in term of elephant hair as ring being sold all over the world.

Room tip: corner room facing opposite main road are quieter.
