“One of the Better Temple Ruins Included in Sukhothai Historical Park Admission”

Spelled Wat Si Sawai in the Thai Historical Park brochure, this temple complex is relatively small, however, it is included in the admission price to the Sukhothai Historical Park and it is one of the better "sub" temples around Wat Mahathat. Once you have paid your admission you are going to want to make sure you stop to see this one.

Tip: There are buses that leave you in the ruins for 30B (supposedly children pay less). tuk tuk drivers try to rip you off.
We couldn't visit it inside because it was raining a lot and it wasn't clear if we could enter there.
From outside it looks impressive and very well preserved.

This temple is a bit different in style than Wat Mahathat and in better overall shape. The three towers are still standing upright and are surrounded by water. Huge trees adjacent to the temple provide relief from the sun and are great photo spots as well. When visiting the park, you should definitely stop here and let the marvels of this temple sink in.

Wat Sri Sawai, is situated beside the Famous Wat Mahamat and has three prangs which were built with Khmer Architecture which was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Go behind the Wat to get a better look by the old Tree.

Although small, Wat Sri Sawai is close to other temples and makes for a nice visit. The main building is well conserved and very different from most of the other buildings.
